I’ve been playing since launch and this is my favorite thing in SoD so far. It’s probably tough to make a completely solved 20-year-old game feel fresh, but the SoD team has done that fairly well throughout with the new stuff they’ve added. It’s strongest points have been when it’s inspiring community collaboration to find new stuff such as runes etc., which added a layer of mystery and discovery back to this game that we’ve all come to know by heart over the last two decades.
To me, Kara crypts is the epitome of this. It felt exceptionally cool to explore this famous but utterly mysterious WoW location with my friends, huddled close for the light, slowly and painstakingly pushing our way through the darkness with no idea what we might find. I’ve run it twice so far, and both runs took over two hours, but both times all of us came away from it commenting how good it was.
To the developers who worked on it, great job! I really hope Blizzard continues to allocate resources for more content like this in the future.

fix the hard enrages on all bosses to be nonexistent and fix things like MC deaths on kharon/lich + hans gretel encounter hit detection

i wouldnt say its awsome some of the bosses are overtuned and the darkness shi$% is trash
Kharon/Lich has like a rotation that disables most DPS for 20s each time it happens, that adds up.
Dark RIder same enrage timer doesnt have that, but a transition at 25 percentiles
Agreed. Solid B+ from me. Cool theme, great music, hard but not punishing (you will die if you try to zerg it), introduced dungeon mechanics never seen in Vanilla…throw in the whole indiana jones discovery/adventure vibe and the package is solid.
There are some technical issues here and there but overall it’s great. Blizzard should mark this one down as a W.
More importantly the classic team just proved they can make quality original content.

Extremely good content. A lot harder than I expected, and I dropped my plan of alting it, but for my main it feels so incredibly good to clear.
I really hope Scarlet Raid has as much effort put in, this really did blow me away.
I obviously have issues with Crypts like how Relics are handled but I expect it to be fixed

Update after having 3 different roles filled there:
Most bosses are fine but…
- Kharon and Dark Rider tank MCs need to go, it is basically an instant wipe on Dark Rider and almost a massive grief on Kharon.
- Kharon MC dying to Red Death is not reasonable.
- Hans and Gretel having unfair hit detection on the ground clutter Gretel spawns, needs to be fixed aswell.
- Dark Rider Tormenter adds as a healer are IMPOSSIBLE to deal with, they hit insanely hard for a healer to deal with and if you see them you cannot kill them.
I hate Mystic+
I love KC on SOD its the right amount of hard w/o being annoying. I love it and I love that you can’t go in unless ur geared. More reason to play my decked out toon instead of raid logging.
Give us more of these type of dungeons.

Dark rider MC is from standing in something you shouldn’t and/or not killing adds. As a holy priest, I mind blast and smite and they’re dead. The issues YOU are having are a YOU problem. Your team just needs to play better.
Kharon MC’s are also fine.
The only one I can agree on is the Kharon MC red death.
Link your raid logs and maybe someone can help point out to you where you can make some adjustments to do better.

Only cancer thing about the dungeon are the relics, finding them is aids. Also feels like they sometimes bug out and you end up with just 2 (despite checking every single inch of that dungeon atleast 2x with the torch)
Throwing a couple baby sized retail mechanics at classic wow players and you get complaints like this.
Cringe.
Dungeon is great.
Looking for relics is not, make there be actually 3 relics per dungeon and not bug out, and them easy to find, perhaps on a place where a boss spawns soo its just something you will naturally come across and pick up.
And youve got a real solid dungeon tbh, relic hunting is making people dislike running the dungeon cause its 10% clearing 90% searching to often not find it.
Or add a bosslike glow to them soo theyre hard to miss

Hell you ain’t even posting on mains and dodge solo wpvp hard, you ask 10 people as backup ROFL.
There’s good mechanics and mechanics that are buggy/not working as intended.
Relics off trash isn’t fun as that can screw you out of Dark Rider, not that has happened to me yet but it is a possibility. Being able to spot em better could be also be a thing.
The dungeon is solid but it’s some annoyances that need to be worked out.
Lich MC deaths to red death and better hit detection on Greta + Relic improvements could go a long way.
