Or at least get rid of the debuff that makes you want 10 seconds to switch pieces?

I love this event. Actually kinds bummed I finished all the class sets from here and have no reason to ho back, but…understood it could be annoying to some.
It bugs out on me every time. I give up on running Kara because of it sometimes.

Yeah I just really don’t want to deal with the crappiness of it anymore. I have all of the chess mogs and the only reason to run it now is to get the tier pieces off of Prince (unless those appearances are shared somewhere else).

IIRC I used to start it, move 1-2 of the soldiers up some or move more things in front of the king. Swap to the healer add for a bit, the mage can hit their king early once he gets close nuff, then swap to the King when fire happens, move and spam the buff, if you need to go back to the healer add. Having room to move the king around helps if they cheat and drop fire. Make use of the mage’s ranged ability.
Some rng might make life harder or easier. The boss can drop fire where his king is rarely. Having a friend helps if they can sit in the king or healer while you move around and try to use the other pieces to try to kill their king.
There’s a method to soloing it, I think I’d move the pieces around and just operate a healer to make sure my king never died, and was in range to hit the enemy king.
Haven’t run Kara in years though, it’s possible something got bugged or glitched semi-recently.
TWW has been pretty bad with bugs.
They should add another version of that which is actually turn based and soloable.
Maybe put it in Darkmoon and have the option to play against randos. Give it a few chess-related mogs for giggles.
this is probably the only Bossfight skip in the entire game I actually agree with. 10 out of 10 would upvote this in an instant.
