A new player doesn’t even know the buttons or understand it. And they have zero way to learn them.
They’d only do that if they had a true preview of it. Not a gimped, no tutorial, nothing and can’t complete the races version.
You’re arguing they shouldn’t have access to glyphs during races, because they don’t own the expansion, while simultaneously saying it’s okay for them to have dragonriding during races, while not owning the expansion.
You’re making it sound infinitely more complicated than this button makes you go up, this button makes you go faster.
You can fly around with it the same as when you unlock it when you enter DF, that is indeed a preview.
you can complete the races, there’s no time limit, you just can’t get Gold without the upgrades. If people are gonna throw a tantrum over that I don’t know what to tell you.
Because they haven’t unlocked the Glyphs.
Not at all, they could give fully upgraded DR mounts for the races to everyone and I wouldn’t bat an eye, I’m just rolling my eyes and being amused at people on the floor kicking and screaming like Blizzard snuck up and punched in the gut and took their lunch money and girlfriend.
Considering there are still people who can’t figure it out even now and new players have zero clue how it works, yes, it absolutely can be.
Except they can’t. They’d have to start a race and attempt to figure it out DURING the race. Do you not understand that?
So frustrating the hell out of people, because they can’t even try to do better if they learn how to do it.
Gaslight much? No one even remotely said this.
They haven’t unlocked dragonriding either. You don’t get that unlocked until about halfway through the first zone.
Yep. Extremely.
Literally no one said nor alluded to this. It’s just a bad argument on your part, because you have nothing of value to attempt to argue with, so why not just make crap up and be dramatic for no reason.
This stupidity isn’t even worth the effort with you anymore. You don’t deserve a conversation if you devolve to nonsense. Goodbye.
Am I missing something but why can I not collect enough currency to purchase all of the items from the vendor? Achieved gold on every race, all three types. What’s going on here?
Lol, what? Why would I do the same races again on alts? Did you not see what I typed? I already achieved the max results from all the races. Who designed this? Lol
And they’re in the minority (the ones who can’t figure it, the new ones learn through practice)
Yes a race that has no downside, that you can attempt any number of times, can restart at any time, and is purely optional. What’s the bogeyman you’re fearing here?
It’s a preview, why would they care about Gold on a system in an expansion they have no desire to buy? The people you’re trying to represent, are not who this is aimed at.
The responses so far are a very silly and entitled tantrum yes yes
I don’t think you understand what a preview is.
you get it a LOT earlier than that.
No, again, if Blizz decides to give full unlocks I’m not gonna complain or be upset, I’m responding in the here and now over people making a fool of themselves.
? Did you not read the part where I ran them all and had fun doing each race already? Why does it matter which character I try to “have fun” on? Lol… for countless years everyone begging for account wide crap and all of sudden I’m over here pointing out this makes zero sense and I’m apparently making no sense or something?
Name other holidays where you cannot collect all the rewards in one passing? What world do you live in where it’s appropriate to wait until the next holiday occurrence? I don’t play alts I am a main gamer, and I do not appreciate you talking down to me like not playing alts is a “bad thing”.
Unless you no-life those events… you’re not getting everything either.
Especially Trial of Style.
… every holiday in the game? Otherwise, why would anyone continue to run the holidays?
… I never once talked down to you. What? Whether you play alts or not is not my concern. You do you, we all play differently. All I did was explain how it works and how to get the full outfit now.
Completely in agreement with Xenna on this. Those races are hard for me, an admittedly wobbly rider, with every glyph obtained, even the Zaralek Cavern additional ones.
It’d make perfect sense that the lower level, non-DF owners, would have a full glyph tree filled in for them because they’re not able to use it in the Dragon Isles, but for one very specific application. If they were to purchase DF and go to the Dragon Isles, they’d of course need to go earn their flying prowess just as you did.
But this is only for the Old World racing alone and it’s sad to open the races to their efforts but give them no idea of how much fun a fully empowered dragon can be. Rather than entice people to head on to the Dragon Isles so they can fly freely and enjoy the many races there, it might have the opposite effect and make them wonder why any of us are putting ourselves through such a dreadful ordeal.
You can see the talent tree I’m pretty sure so they will know there’s room to grow and get upgrades. Plus they’ll obviously see other people going faster and doing different moves. And the different dragons.
Actually the more I think on it I think this would upset people more, having a taste of power in these limited time races and the “losing” that power when they got into the actual expansion I can’t really see setting well with people.
