It was. By the time of the Nexus War the Blue Dragonflight was severely diminished. It’s why almost all of their forces are non dragons.
Deathwing destroying a majority of the Blue Dragonflight during the War of the Ancients with the use of the Dragon Soul is the reason Sindragosa is dead and Malygos lost his mind.

No the flight is scattered and disjointed because Kalecgos disbanded the flight after the defeat of Deathwing.
Edit: Although they were already kind of falling apart, as were all flights, due to the loss of purpose that came with losing the aspect powers. But they were still together as a flight through the rest of WotLK and all of Cataclysm.

I know the Deathwing thing was first and it dealt a major blow to the Blue Flight. But Kal is being straight revisionist by not putting a great onerous on Malygos going bonkers and causing the Nexus War.

Deathwing killed the majority
Malygos saw mortals going crazy with magic and basically ptsd’d himself imagining the destruction of the dragon soul again, so we murder him instead of trying anything else, the flight was already basically over then
Then Deathwing came back, and Kalecgos was like, bro there’s like 8 of us, y’all can just do what you want at this point

Yeah…true shame too as Sindragosa seemed like a real kind gal…and then Arthas turned her into a frostbrood and she wanted to wipe out the living…and we put her to rest again… poor gal. Malygos lost I think all his consorts or the vast majority of them to Deathwing that day…Sindragosa was the one he held most dear though and thus it hurt him that much more. Malygos’s insanity is understandable… he got betrayed by one he trusted most…who was like a brother to him and then he lost those he loved and cared for… that kinda grief can do a lot of damage for sure. May he rest in peace alongside his prime consort

We conveniently forgetting that Malygos’s War killed members of the Red, Green and Bronze Dragonflight and they supported what we did? The Wyrmrest Accord was trying to prevent a second Deathwing arising.

We weren’t the bad guys in this one. Malygos and the Blues aligned with him wanted to commit global genocide against multiple races and had, in their hubris, damaged the World Soul.
We were putting down a mad dog.
