Kaldorei Flowers

Hey guys! Real quick question. Do any of you know what flowers might be associated with Kaldorei society? I’m trying to pick a perfume for my non-combatant priestess, and one of my friends recommended picking a floral scent.

Thanks

This speculation on my part, but there is a herb called Dreamleaf which only grows in the zone of Val’sharah. This alone is significant, but coupled with the fact that this herb has both healthy and nightmare corrupted variants in game would imply that it has some connection to the emerald dream.

This would probably be more applicable to a druid character and again, this is purely speculative but that is my two copper on the matter.

Alor’el is a pretty popular flower in kaldorei lore, but it may be rare considering it only blooms for a couple who share a perfect love, let alone extracting its essential oils to use in a perfume. Anything is possible though.

Starlight Roses in Suramar, Aethril from Azsuna, or Dreamleaf (while not technically a flower) would all be good choices.

Nightrose wine comes from Aszuna, and rainbow flower wine was mentioned in The Demon Soul book, assuming that those come from real flowers (though perhaps the rainbow flower is no more after the Sundering).

I would imagine that night lillies are popular as well. There are also the revered flowers that make up the permanent flower crowns at Lunar Festival with their different meanings.

“For prudence and consideration of the future.”

“For the blessing of forces greater than yourself.”

“For sharing your fortune with those around you.”

“For sympathy to yourself and others.”

“For quiet contemplation.”

“For tranquility in the face of chaos.”

“For courage in the face of adversity.”

“For the courage to stay true to your beliefs.”

“For physical strength and good health.”

“For abundance in resources and savings.”

“For longevity of life.”

“For happiness in life.”

Perhaps you could match her personality to the scent. Take your pick and I hope this helps!

If all else fails, you can also always come up with your own fanon.

That was extremely thorough. Good work.

I’m surprised there isn’t a flower called moon lily’s or starlight blossoms. Or moon blossoms and starlight lily’s. The second one sounds better.

Thanks for the feedback, guys! I really appreciate it! I’ll probably go with either Starlight Roses or Night Lillies with undertones of one of those flowers, since I haven’t the slightest idea of what the Lunar Festival flowers might smell like lol
