Hi. I was drafting on my notepad about this character (recently race changed to NE and am trying to understand the lore properly). I want him to be young-ish, like, he was born AFTER the sundering, maybe 3-4k years ago.
Is that acceptable? Would make sense if he lived a peaceful life secluded in Hyjal up until the Third War, then relocating to Darnassus for Classic?
(I’m levelling him on Anniversary to learn more about the lore and zones!)
Maybe doing the exercise of understanding where his parents came from can help you
Yeah, that makes perfect sense.
After the sundering and the social shift of the lowborn Night Elves they essentially just dicked around playing with nature up until the Third War, from what I recall of it.
All that time you have plenty of leeway with establishing your own background. The only real event that would shake things up being War3’s Third War, which gives you an ample excuse to leave Hyjal and resettle in the newly established Teldrassil/Darnassus as a refugee who lost their home in Hyjal during the demonic invasion.
Sure, my character’s story (which came to me when she was about level 12 or so) is that she was born some time just before the Battle of Hyjal and that her parents frist met each other in the Battle of the Burning Sands.
She never got old enough to learn what it was to be truly immortal, so she has a very mortal perspective compared to that of older Night Elves.
