The new voice acting is pretty terrible. I get why they wanna cancel him, but seriously at least replace him well. KT doesn’t have allegations against him. The character shouldn’t be destroyed over this.

Maybe I’m crazy, but the old lines sound way more amateurish in my opinion. It’s very over the top and excessive.
perhaps the new VO guy would perform better if he used his own lines instead of re-doing old VO’s lines.

Aside from the very last line in the comparison video, I think you’re overblowing the new VA being bad.
A lot of Kael’thas’s older lines are comically dramatic and badly delivered, and so we all just like the charm in that. Most everything else is fine.
Can’t speak on the accusations until something happens, though.

The VA in these new files has a similar voice, but his delivery is lacking in charisma. If Blizzard absolutely must replace Flynn, they should at least go back and do some more takes with this new guy to punch it up.
Kael’Thas has always been a bit of a sassy, pompous, histrionic jerk, so I can imagine that that’s probably what most players–especially older ones–are going to expect to glean from his voice (as well as his many, many words). Fans of most things are more likely to accept alterations to their favorite characters/books/TV shows/movies/etc. if they’re executed well enough–so if the VA can hit that sweet spot just right, he’ll be able to please more people who might have opposed this change, otherwise.
Honestly, though…I kind of hope that any new sound files that are produced won’t need to be used. Kael’s original voice is so unique and iconic, and has been around for so long that it doesn’t really make sense to change it at all. Flynn’s innocence or guilt aside, it’s possible to separate creators from their creations so that you can still enjoy something that they’ve made. People do it all the time for writers, directors, etc. with controversial opinions or problematic pasts (J.K. Rowling, for example).
I admit that I don’t know all of the details behind the accusations that have been made against Flynn, but I will say that I hope that he is genuinely innocent, and that this has all been a big misunderstanding. Until he’s actually found guilty of something in a court of law, I refuse to treat him as a guilty man. If it’s officially ruled that he isn’t innocent, then that’s unfortunate…but it is what it is, and Blizzard will do what they will.
