good thing i never care about the voice acting or anything like that in game.
if anything, most of the new voice acting in blizz games is horrible now anyway and i mute most of the cutscenes
(imo of course)
EDIT: I did like the mcree voice actor in overwatch though!

Maybe, just maybe, Blizzard want HD uncompressed sound, which is not available since they registered it 22khz mono back in the days. Maybe they tried to get the previous voice actor and he was not available for reasons.

Listening to both; they don’t really sound all that different to me.
They aren’t that different indeed. The original just has more body/character while the latter is missing that bit in moments.
It’s campier and therefore better; I heard it’s closer to his WC voice anyway.

Just listened to it and I hate it. Im not a fan of changing a voice that we’ve known for 12+ years. I understand why theyre doing it, but I dont like it. I wouldve be fine if they just changed his voice for future voice overs.

Seems to me you’re the one being overly dramatic about it, to have to fail to see the clear difference that’s just being dramatically dismissive for whatever reason you might have

Am I the only one who cant really tell the difference? Give credit where credit is due the new VA is freaking good to sound ALMOST identical to the old VA. just my 2 cents. You have permission to flame me now.
They’re pretty much identical, this is the second thread that’s been made by folks ‘claiming’ they can see a drastic difference, but it’s just not there.
old one was better imo.
The current voice actor is fine. People are just going “LOL CRINGE” because of a change
