Hi guys, I just got the K55 corsair keyboard but when I try to bind the G keys they bind as 1, 2 , 3 number keys. If you guys can give me a hand setting it I’d appreciate it. Thank you!
I have that keyboard
In the icue settings, go to the keyboard layout, I think you need to do a add profile thenclick on the g keys, then find where it says “combo”
It should give you the option to combined two action keys to make the keybind (shift+1, shift+2)
Can’t really tell due to at work but I think this is the way to do your keybind
If you’re expecting them to actually bind as G1, G2, etc, than you’ve been mislead. These G keys (and similar keys on any other keyboard) are simply to relocate other keys, pre-set combinations of keys (eg Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V for Copy and Paste respectively), or assign to macro commands - the latter of which is against WoW’s ToS. They’re a convenience, rather than an extra; though I don’t actually know if there’s any technical reason they couldn’t be both (Windows has entries for quite a number of keys not found on a traditional 104-key setup, including several with no pre-defined function).
Otherwise, if you already knew that than You is in a better position than I to help you reconfigure the software.
Thank you for your help. I didn’t know this.
Yeah they aren’t actual g keys, just configure them to the keybind you assign in wow it self, they don’t actually type anything in a Microsoft word document or something (unless you assign it as a letter)
The last time those special key binds exist was those z board keys or something that became obsolete
Ok I am home, disregard my previous post as I was not correct.
so open up ICUE, click on the K55 image at the devices area.
You will automatically be on a default setting
On the left theres a thing called Action, click on it, you want to hit the + sign, which gives you a new macro
on the new macro that was created, click any key you desire on the set of G keys.
look where it says Macro, you want to change it, change it to keystoke. Add any combo of keys, so if your keybind is Shift+2, Shift+C or whatever, do so.
You now have one of the G keys binded to whatever you set in WoW. So save the default profile and thats it.
