Yeah I should have made my post more about %. I just always have 100 thoughts on how to write something going on in my brain and then whatever I’m typing is just what is written. So I had atleast 5 post ideas all wrapped under this post while trying to keep it short and ended up coming off like a douche

You’ve honestly handled all the criticism kindly and calmly. I was triggered at first, but now I see that you have good intentions. I sometimes find it really challenging to anticipate how people will read into what I say, so I get it.

Oh no diagnosis given here. Thats a lawsuit waiting to happen and I’m not qualified anyway.
I have found different forums helpful in managing different symptoms of what ever it is I have (and there has been a very long list of proposed illnesses by several dozen psychologists.)

I think my biggest flaw is in getting frustrated in not being able to get my point across. I will sit and try to restructure the argument but at times I just can’t see how its not clear.
I don’t care if people agree, I just need the argument to be understood so that if its wrong I can change my stance. But people often take the frustration I feel and think its at them instead.

Yes!! I’m always down to see if my opinion is wrong, and please help me correct it. I am all for learning more. I think when it comes to more sensitive topics or topics involving strong stances im not good at articulating.

I took a contemporary asian-America writing class for one of my AA credits and the entire time I was so worried I would come off as racist. I just wanted to provide facts and be respectful so I feel this

I have learned to avoid many topics with random people because of this.
I wanted to go back to school (I dropped out when I was 16) but doing some of my wifes homework I know I would fail several required classes because I would not be able to hand them what they want because its not true. Primarily in sociology but to some extent psychology as well.
Oh and even web design. When the customer asks for something that looks bad you either talk them into a better design or don’t do it. Your name is going to be forever associated with bad work if you do it yet homework requires you to do it anyway…

ZERO. Maybe a few if you include the trans folk. But I am not one to talk since I like my toons to be female because if I’m going to look at a toon for hours on end, it has to be something I will enjoy looking at.

Someone recently did a pretty in-depth study on the FFXIV playerbase related a little to this. I’ll try to dig it up since it’s pretty enlightening on trends for MMOs overall.
Women are more likely to play female characters in MMOs, and so are men. The base reporting wasn’t a true 50/50 - leaning at more men subscribed - but it pretty much reflects the general sentiment that Girls Play Vidya Game Too.
I’m willing to believe it would be very similar to the behavior seen in WoW players. Probably even more of a skew of men playing female characters just due to aesthetics being more universally pleasing for certain races.

I used to hide the fact that I was female because some players would make inappropriate comments, especially in non-wow voice chats. But then I found respectful communities and found I didn’t need to hide it any more.

Last time I checked I was a woman. I definitely have a few gal pals in-game too. If I had to take a guess at ratios, I’d say a 75/25 man/woman split.
