Conduits will also drop from doing normal content. The stygia unlocks will mainly serve as bad RNG protection and ways to unlock any that come from content you don’t want to do.

This has been standard for WoW for literally years. Why do people act shocked and outraged everytime a new system comes in that is literally just a copy of the last 15 systems?
They’ve made it pretty clear how the game will run; if you hate it, leave. It isn’t changing.

Doesn’t change the fact that you will be returning to the Maw over and over throughout the entire expansion to farm sockets for gear if you are the type of player that min/max’s. I’d prefer the sockets either;
A) Come on gear like they did in previous expansions without having to up Blizzards time-played metrics to grind some bullsh@#.
B) Didn’t exist at all.

When you go out and collect 8 bear asses for a pair of bracers, wouldn’t the posteriors technically be currency?

I know how to fix the game and its simple. Create a balance system not in the form that all classes are equal but they all have a counter and another class that they are the counter of (like water beats fire and so on). Have each spec be made for something different. Using warrior for example fury is way stronger for leveling than the other specs and arms is stronger in pvp compared to the other specs and protection is the best for raiding. This would make everyone happy being able to swap around. The talents would also be re tooned to this idea aswell. Also scrap the dailies PLEASE!!! Like if you agree
How about option C, where gear can drop with sockets, but you can convert a currency you’d be getting anyways, into sockets on gear that didn’t roll it?
People seem eager to complain about literally everything these days.

Sorry, but I prefer “x” item always has “abc” sockets on it when it drops. It’s simple, doesn’t require additional grinds and makes the Jewelcrafting profession much more useful.
BC & WotLK had the absolute best gear/socket systems in the game, they should have never been removed.

The more content there is, the greater the separation will be at the top. Ultimately, they don’t want everybody maxing out their potential each week. Then nobody feels special. Nobody feels powerful.
Every time someone complains about work, the workhorses grin. They know they’ll do it and continue to gain power and higher status. This is perfectly reflective of the real world.
So, all these variables are necessary.
It’ll be an exciting expansion, for sure.

The Maw is the least fun grind we’ve had in a long time. It’s so slow and boring. I’d rather do manapearls again.

World of (unfun) grinds. Grinds is an essential part of wow. But say in MOP the grinds were actually fun (I really enjoyed dailies that expansion).
They don’t even try to make the game with the player’s interest in mind. Anywho I’ll be leveling and then unsubbing

I haven’t been in there myself, but after reading about it, I’m pretty concerned about the prospect of having to spend time every week in a place where we can’t even mount.
I bad luck protection is nice, but upgrading at random is a bit annoying.
Fantastic way to slow down your never ending grind, huh?
It’s been a while since I’ve looked at it, but I’m 90% sure you’ll get temporary mount buffs while in the maw.
