Probably the most infuriating cinematic I have seen for WoW.
I think we are all sick of Sylvannas at this point and her stupid edginess. The world tree was one thing (Apparently she is more powerful than Archimonde) but now for her to basically own Bolvar, and then destroy the crown of the greatest WoW villain of all time, ,the Lich King like its nothing, is just too much.
Why must Blizzard try and use this stupid shock nonsense to trash all over their own lore, and with Sylvannas of all people.
Its like they just never learn. I am anticipating endless chores, reputation grinds, and annoying cinematics this entire expansion with Sylvannas. Someone call me when this edgelord is killed off so that we can get back to decent storytelling again.
Lacing up my boots. Casting my blessing and getting ready to send Sylvanas to the deepest and darkest part of the afterlife. There is a special place reserved for her. That being said the Lich King whomever he is, is not so easily defeated. Where is Malfurion another being of immense power that is always so easily ignored. And Matha made a good point will we run into Arthas there and will he drag Sylvanas to hell I am sure hoping so.
They can address my issue by throwing this smelly pirate hooker into the dumpster fire that is their current storytelling department, burying her once and for all.
Revisiting the greatest timeframe of Warcraft ever in Northrend was a great idea, until they had this overused clown basically trash the place, forcing us to deal with her for yet another expansion. Its like throwing Justin Bieber into a Led Zeppelin Concert.
I liked Sylvanas up until BfA and “Burn it!” Before that she made sense, even as a villain, but her circuitous scheming in BfA STILL doesn’t make sense even with her endgame more or less revealed with Shadowlands. For example, why on earth would she agree to a mak’gora with Saurfang if her whole goal was to cause as much death as possible?
I was also very bummed to see the Lich King taken out like that. Sure, we still have Bolvar after some fashion, but the legacy behind him that goes all the way back to WCIII is suddenly, unceremoniously gone. I can only hope there’s some plot to “reforge” the helm of domination and restore the role of the LK. It would have been cool to see him back in the story after being mostly absent yet teased at having a big return for so many years.
I more so meant the reason for the power scaling which is what OP was complaining about. But from the cinematic it seems that the helm itself was the key to shattering the veil.
