Just want to say, SoD is amazing

The game designers who came up with the runes, the quests, and the rest of it… Wow, great job. Playing a little retail has made me appreciate what an incredible game they’ve made with SoD. I just made a mage and i’m reading about the runes and i’m just blown away. It’s immersive, it’s fun, it’s not over-complicated.

And all you players-- you’re incredible. Even with buffed up characters, classic WOW is still a challenge-- and players are happy to come together to over come it. Seems like a ton of people jump on the opportunity to help when they see someone shout out for it. Every single time I log in, i have an amazing time. In minutes I’m grouped up great people doing quests, raiding, world pvping, assisting with someone’s runes, or chatting about how to progress. Honestly, I’m having so much fun. Thank you all.

Oh, how are you liking mage so far? I’ve been sort of putting off leveling a 4th toon, but have my pally at 20 with most of its runes. I have thought that a mage would be good to have though, also.

Yeah, I’m loving it! What a fun ride, huh?

SoD is a great idea but Phase 1 didn’t feel like that much work went into it. Ashenvale PvP event was horrible underwhelming wasted potential and there are very few new quests in the game. We could have had so much more.

Never congratulate any game dev, especially a massive conglomerate like Blizzard for doing the bare minumum.

SOD is the only reason blizzard has a recurring subscription from me, I had 3 days remaining when I saw the article showcasing SOD. So yes I would say it offers something completely different an intriguing which I think was their idea.

Less really is more. There are some nice QoL features on retail, but the game is so bloated and over-complicated I don’t find it enjoyable. Also that sense of community that died on live thanks to lfg and cross-realm, is present here to a degree. Each server always had it’s personalities. Some were quiet, some were on the forums, but the community knew each other. Guilds would even run content with other guilds as a social event. I tried SoD out and to my surprise I started to remember what it was like when I first started back in late 05, and what I loved about the game. Retail has none of that anymore. I don’t even have retail installed and haven’t for a while now.

You should thank the genius who made the vanilla WoW. SoD is just like adding some candy on a cake. Group of interns can come up these changes in a week.

SoD is a rewritten version of vanilla u expected too much thinking new quests and that were going to be available.

So congratulations blizzard on doing the work of bringing another version of wow to life.

Dont listen to this kid, era is awful. Gdkp ruined and killed it. You won’t be able to group with anybody unless you have thousands of gold. That goes for leveling dungeons too

And you’re just jealous and wrong… Wrong because Era is hoppin for alts too, and jealous that people are not dedicated entirely to SoD.

Aite bro let him log in and read trade chat for 10 minutes. Tell me how many normal raid or leveling groups you see as opposed to boosting and gdkp.

Ill wait

Leveling dungeon groups tend to me in the chat in that zone not the general /lookingforgroup or city chat.

Era is poppin, nobody is forced to be there. But many of us that are there, find it far more enjoyable than SoD.
