Just stop leaving M+

I hate coming on forum to complain about stuff but please dont leave M+ at the beganing of timer because we wipe 1 ou 2 times. Remembrer its all about having fun and progession. Befor leaving like crazy you can explain strategy or tips to help player. Sorry about my terrible english its not my first language.
Have a nice day and have fun in game.

If people are wiping at the beginning of the run and before the first boss, it’s not a good sign. Many people don’t want to sit through an hour+ of dungeon crawling.

If people are leaving frequently enough to be a problem, you might be the problem.

Not really, there is literally a timer so it’s implied that your group moves at a reasonable pace/doesn’t fail

There isn’t much “having fun” or “progression” in a 90 minute wipefest where the group can barely handle basic trash packs, let alone boss mechanics

In my experience, sometimes a mistake happens early on and there is a wipe or two before the first boss. That doesn’t mean the key is dead. Most of the time, the party can pull it together for the rest of the dungeon. All it takes is positive vibes instead of negative.

I’ve found some of the worst DPS I’ve ever experienced in the history of MMOs in M+ DF. Don’t let ilvl fool you either. Just because somebody is pushing 390 doesn’t mean they won’t wipe your +6 by screwing mechanics or pulling extra and insta dying

Yeah, I’m patient with normal, heroic and even mythic 0. But once we hit mplus the time for learning is over and I’m expecting the group to know what they are doing. If we’re wiping to trash forget it. I’m not wasting my time telling others what they are doing wrong as they should have already learned this and if they haven’t then they shouldn’t be doing keys.

Sorry bro, sometimes stuff comes up.

Sometimes the key is spent and I want out.

Sometimes I just don’t want to play anymore.

You apparently are not built for M+ . No offense of course.

What I mean is the mentality of folks who run M+ encourages greatly to be fast and not waste time. That includes any perceived failings of a team.

The only thing that will change this is building a friend’s list of reliable folks, or joining a guild.

If you think anything shy of #perfection is tolerable, you are wrong.

  • Healers are expected to DPS
  • Tanks are expected to go as fast as possible
  • Wipes are not tolerated
  • Fun = Getting a fast time
  • “Just finishing” over time is not tolerated.

Now what part of that encourages folks to stick around a “shaky” run?

honestly, if you’re in M+, you should already know how to do the dungeon.

I mean… last night we had 3 back to back full wipes on the trash before the second boss in Ruby Life, but still +2’d the key… y’all are way too quick to judge…

Knowing when it’s time to dip and when sticking it through will work is an invaluable skill to develop when M+ pugging

Good English for a second language–no worries!

When the DPS is high in groups, I’ve noticed there are no complaints if a wipe or 2 happens. People just want to time the run.

If you aren’t as concerned about timing and aren’t looking to be incredibly selective with DPS, consider adding a message indicating this if/when you create a group. “Chill run” or “completion.”

Basically this, but personally I add the caveat that for this week, I’m a bit more patient in the non DF dungeons, as it may have been a hot minute since people have done those. That said, at 10+ I fully expect everyone to know their role and execute it.

When people leave, its usually not as simple as oh we wiped now I’m gonna quit.

Its usually more things like; okay we’ve wiped a couple times and I see that 2 dps are lower than the tank, no one is interrupting, the healer doesn’t know what dispelling is, the undergeared tank just watched a MDI vid and thinks he can pull like a rockstar, etc.

I try not to leave keys if I think we can finish them. But sometimes, it’s just simply obvious from early on that a key is going to be a trainwreck.

In a way, everything in this game is PvP.

People fighting over raid spots, dps meters, players leaving other’s M+, Auction House reposting PvP.

I love it.

I had a Temple run the other day where everyone but the tank died twice in the first hallway. I lived the 2nd time, but died the first time. Then, we all died but the tank on the Water spout guy.

We still ended up 2 staring the key. Stuff happens. I understand theres some keys to leave, but people do have short fuses and just dip at the first sign of struggle.

I think its especially dumb to leave so early at the beginning of the expac, too. Most people have very little experience with these dungeons right now, and even some of the older ones people havent stepped in for years. I hadnt did Temple since the beginning of MoP; I only Arena’d back then.

Some people are just so attached to their scores. You could do to make a little leg room for mistakes in lower keys, the times are very forgiving. Ran a +2 Lifepools last night and we had a very messy clear of the upper ring due to an extra Thunderhead pull, plus a wipe on the boss itself because the tank didn’t think to use the entire ring for more space, and we still finished with about 5 minutes to spare

Now, if you haven’t even gotten to the first boss and you’re already at 15 deaths then yeah I can understand giving it up. But one or two is definitely not going to kill the key
