You had some cool ones a long time ago and we get that your managers aren’t going to give you the time you need to make a good one again and instead are going to shackle you to this dumb template that’s been used for 3 expansions now.
You’re just burning good will with the player base, you’re better off doing nothing than this garbage blizzard.
Or here’s a thought. Maybe since we pay money to play the game, they could develop content and reinvest that money for fun events to give us stuff to do instead of reskinning the same content. While we’re at it, we could also hold them to a higher standard than just “it is what it is”
It’s almost like they’re scared of going back to things like Legion or WotLK prepatch designs. Nothing was more fun than getting an entire raid of ghouls and trying to sack a major city.
All the last hype for the Midnight expansion has died out for me from this pre-patch “event”.
I don’t know that they could have gated the tokens for this event any harder. Sit and wait for rares to spawn since you can only do the quests for tokens once per account. You can’t even use the event to gear your alts if you want to get the cosmetics. wtf blizz? What a huge disappointing waste of time. I guess we can see what we will get in midnight now, a whole lot of nothing but more of this heavily gated trash.
Everything about midnight being an underwhelming mess is slashing what little faith I have left into nothingness

Gating a prepatch event is pretty wild. I haven’t purchased Midnight yet, and I am not sure I intend to with decisions like this & the pruning/loss of class flavor across the board.
Prepatch is meant to be a ton of fun and a free for all. This is … neither.
The quality of pre-patch events is the same as every other overworld quest in this game.
Really most activities in this game are cheaply made, overly easy, reskins of other events.
WoW fans seem to love it tho. Shrug.

No. Radiant echos event was horrible. Don’t try and gaslight me.
All of their events are like this. Super boring. Idk why anybody even participates in them. Just to get gear that’s going to be immediately replaced when the expansion launches?
