Can’t even believe they put this in the game. The gameplay is pretty much reduced to rng.
I’m fighting lil’idan right now. Completely worked him over but my falcosaur died. Forfeit when he’s at 5% health and I have 2 pets left and retry. This time he completely works me over since I missed almost every attack.
Dude it’s not that hard. I did it a year ago. It was more annoying than anything, just time consuming.
Wait let me say, you’ve got to have a good number of battle pets leveled up. If you don’t have that I imagine it could be a pain. Do you have a good variety of pets leveled?
Nope… not investing any more time into this than I have to. It’s literally just a far worse version of the gameboy version of pokemon that I played when I was 8.
Well, if you don’t want to put in the time and effort to do the quests then you won’t get the mounts. If you don’t like it don’t do it, but it’s not hard and don’t get bent out of shape at Blizzard because you don’t want to do what it takes to get the mounts you want.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to ride around Drustvar on my Viiridian Sharptalon.
I did. I had 3 falcosaurs at lvl 25. I also bought a couple crappy ones. I’m talking about the gameplay. Also these epic fights are extremely overpowered compared to the ones where you face 3 different ones.
I’m doing family familiar and it’s much of the same thing. I think I had to have 15 battles with one dude just so I got rng lucky and won. Welcome to pet battling.
If a fight comes down to RNG deciding weather you win or lose, you need to change up your team. There are comps where you would win 100% of the time with the right pets, and ones where you would lose 100% of the time with the wrong ones no matter what you do.
Guy complaining about pet battles has no idea how to actually do pet battles.
Strategize.
Think.
Counter pet types.
It’s a turn-based minigame, not some blitzkrieg. Use some mental energy on it.
Make sure you use https://www.wow-petguide.com if you don’t know what you’re doing. And fair is fair, if you don’t feel like doing it then don’t do it, but don’t blame the game for your shortcomings.
Agreed. Xu-Fu, and even Wowhead, have good guides for pet battles. And some RNG may happen when it comes to an attack pattern, but you can start them over and try again.
