Sam! The guilds on this forum run the gambit- most are mythic/progression or WE DO and WANT IT ALL. However, We are a casual, no obligations, and no progression (at this time!) – So… it might depend on what you see yourself doing. You might not think you want the M+… but interests, change 
and that’s ok.
