It’s really not that hard to gear up and getting BT gear is very easy.
The issue will come down to skill.
The MMR is extremely jacked up and the solo BG queue is just weird. If you lose you get grouped with other losers, but only on your own team. There’s a 50/50 shot the other team is going to be full of people who just won and you can slide heavily.
Also with the MMR being messed up, multi-glad players are currently in the 1800-2k bracket, meaning there are highly skilled players at lower MMR’s than they should be.
PvP is still fun but I’ve found it’s exponentially more difficult than it has been in previous seasons so be prepared.
Update: YESSSSS I DID ITT!! (i was carried) Finally only took 40 games but I reached 1950 in blitz and got the weapon illusion! I’M DONE WOOHOO!

I think you might ask how hard is it
Blitz is the best way to work towards the PVP illusion. I never could get past 1800 in 2s back in BFA but in Blitz, I’ve gotten to 2100.
It just takes a lot of matches, if your luck is super bad with team mates who refuse to play objectives. Right now, looks like it’s about a 18 minute wait per match.
