title thanks
Welcome back! Depending on how long itās been since you were last active, you may notice a couple unexpected changes. The most prominent one is that Herod has been connected to 7 other Classic Era realms, all within the PvP East:
These realms are effectively merged as one server, commonly referred to as a āclusterā. The bluepost I quoted above lists the other 4 North American clusters, as well as one OCE cluster.
There are free transfers available to the PvP West cluster (Whitemane+9other realms) and the PvE East cluster (Mankrik+4other realms). There are also some select RP realms that were exempted from realm connections. Regardless, all Classic Era realms/clusters in North America queue together for instanced PvP/Battlegrounds.
I myself play horde with my guildmates in the other PvP East cluster (Benediction, Faerlina, Heartseeker, Incendius, and Netherwind). Best of luck and if you have any questions, ask away!
hi thanks,
is my cluster dead, ive been logging on for the past week during prime hours and i just see mages in stratholme all day.
What realm? Are you the OP/playing on Herod? I donāt have any toons there but the nature of these indefinite free transfers makes it so that the majority of players will be found on either of the two destination realms (Mankrik cluster for PvE / Whitemane cluster for PvP). There are smaller communities, like my own, that are raiding outside of those hubs. Itās much more close-knit and highlights the reliance players have on each other to accomplish their goals.
If you are looking for a new realm/cluster to call home, I would highly recommend first creating a level 1 on any prospective world/faction and try chatting with the locals. Thatās the best way you can get a feel for the culture each community has to offer.
Iāve been leveling this toon that I post with on Era Earthfury horde which is part of the same cluster as Herod. Iāve been watching to see how many ārealā players are around and it mostly is just a guild I know is going to transfer, a few ārealā farmers, and bots.
Ally side seems to have some people that do 5 mans but Iāve never seen that on horde after looking at the generally under 50 people online at various times in the day. Since this toon is not being transferred Iād be fine with just getting to know whatever natives but I canāt say thatās a thing horde side.
Anyway taking the free transfer to Whitemane would be your best bet from what Iāve seen if you actually want to find groups.
I donāt see many Horde on OUR cluster but there are a few.
Yes, there are a bunch of obvious bots but there are a few real players on both sides. You may have to aggressively introduce yourself so they know YOU are a real person. there were times in the not so distant past that I was the ONLY player on this cluster for days.
Either way, Have fun, I look forward to sharing our cluster.
