Well she already got her revenge in 8.1 according to devs, that’s why they’re getting ignored now.
Nobody really cares about the tree itself in case you haven’t noticed.

Shandris: You spoke harshly to King Anduin, Tyrande. The kaldorei can ill afford to shun the Alliance. They have provided aid and comfort to us in these dark times.
Tyrande: The young king is foolish to trust our enemies. Harsh words should be the least of his fears.
Shandris: The Banshee Queen no longer leads the Horde. Those who do seem more inclined toward peace than war.
Tyrande: If the wolf is rabid, it matters not who rides it. Sooner or later, the beast will bare its fangs.
Shandris: You are dearest to my heart, Tyrande. I beg you, let go of the Black Moon’s rage and embrace the mother’s light once again. I could not bear to lose you to darkness.
Tyrande: Know this. My hunger for vengeance will not be sated so long as Sylvanas Windrunner remains free–and until I know why Elune abandoned her children.
Shandris: Tyrande! Do not say such–
Tyrande: I will tarry no longer in this city of men. Let us leave for the boughs of Nordrassil.
Tyrande: From there we will dispatch the Sentinels to every corner of Azeroth. Let no one rest until the Banshee is found!
Yeah, clearly she got her vengeance and is being ignored.
Did you miss the part where the entire horde commited genocide and not just Sylvanas alone ?
Did you miss the parts where:
Humans locked orcs into internment camps and made them fight, which was the motivator behind what Garrosh did to humans when he learned about what orc life on Azeroth was like.
The night elves attacking orcs for chopping trees instead of “Hey, don’t chop these trees.” Losing then bringing in a Demigod driving orcs to once more drink demon blood in order to stand a chance lest they be slaughtered.
Alliance generals beating and ready to kill the surviving blood elves because they needed help and the only help they got was from Lady Vashj and her naga.
Tirion Fordring being kicked out of the Silver Hand because he didn’t mindlessly kill an orc who saved him after they just fought. Eitrigg by the way.
Varian being ready to kill the Horde leaders on the spot before Jaina intervened in Undercity.
Alliance blindly attacking a goblin slave ship thinking it might have been a Horde ship as they were escaping Deathwing.
Alliance starting the war at the Undercity.
Alliance storming Dazar’alor in addition to attacking Nazmir to divert the attention of the Horde, and killing a king because they feared he might join up with the Horde, essentially killing neutrals who hadn’t even yet picked a side.
I left out quite a lot of examples, I could go on forever actually. However the bottom line is this: Don’t engage in acts of war and be surprised when genocide happens. You provoked a war, you got one. Alliance made Garrosh into what he was even in Cataclysm when he was killing a general for attacking civilians which he then decided to mana bomb Theramore because, it’s war now.
Let me guess though. Your understanding of the Alliance vs Horde conflict boils down to: Theramore, and Darkshore. If you look at the numerous examples of conflict, a majority of them involve the Alliance side being the aggressors with the Horde willing to retaliate with significantly more force. You drove: Undead, Blood Elves, Goblins, Nightborne, and Zandalari Trolls to joining the Horde by antagonizing them. In the case of Undead it was refusing to accept them as anything but hideous monsters, in the case of Blood Elves it was deep racism in the higher ranks within the Alliance, in the case of Goblins it was attacking them while they were still neutral and trying to escape, in the case of Nightborne it was Tyrande utterly refusing to trust Thalyssra when she initially wanted to join the Alliance first, and in the case of Zandalari it was you waging war on their city because they opened it to the Horde and hadn’t yet picked a side.
This is your fault, you reap what you sow.
As a foot note, I included one of those in there to intentionally bait you into making a series of points for me in there. Normally I don’t divulge my tactics but eh, you don’t seem like a bright one and won’t figure out which one it is.
Rastakhan was never a horde character, while he reigned the trolls were never a part of the horde. The only horde character from your list that died was Saurfang.
You just met him basically and he was already half dead, he only counts for .5 so 4.5 characters lost.
… and thinking about it Nathanos is permanently attached to Sylvanus’ behind so 3.5.
Wait … did I miss a quest where something happened to Gallywix?
I really hope Blizzard doesn’t get concerned about giving each faction equal character treatment in terms of storyline.
Just focus on making a good story, not that each leader gets equal time.
I don’t care if horde gets more story one bit at all.
Tyrande went MIA, Taelia still isn’t much at this point (they’ll probably use her to make Bolvar’s arc a cheesy family reunion story), Calia and Derek wasn’t relevant to the great scheme of thing and their appearance in the story as an “important character” seems a bit forced (no one cared about them and little was written about these two).
Most of our interesting characters either died in a distasteful manner or turned horde over the years. At least you never have to see any of your “important characters” sell you out until bfa; barring Garrosh of course.
Ever seen a horde leader don the blue banner? yeah, me neither.
Saurfang was killed by the writers so was Vol’jin both in the service of furthering the story of a skank nobody cares about.
And what did Alliance do? Play background character to the Horde as they went through another civil war.
“Playing Warcraft” has almost totally devolved into just logging in to try and get the Blingtron pet from Legion that still hasn’t dropped after almost 3 freaking years… but that aside…
I don’t recall anything about the fate of Nathanos. We see him on the ship going to Nazj in the opening cutscene and that’s the last I remember of him. He’s not in the Shadowlands cinematic that I remember.
Same for Gallywix. He’s a useless, boring character, but I don’t recall anything about his fate. I remember unlocking Drustvar with him, that’s the last thing I remember about him.
Am I actively just trying to block out this pos expansion?
Jaina - Made to look like a complete idiot when she looked badass at the beginning and suddenly starts playing “Hello Kitty” to “Not hurt the Horde in the moment when they are weak”.
Mekkatorque - Raid Boss. You Horde love to gloat bitterly about Leaders becoming Raid Bosses right? We were forced to fight him in a raid as Horde.
Night Elf Leaders - Random dude with a bow. The most Gary Stu of all Garu Stus.
Bolvar’s Daughter Returned - LOL you are trying so hard here. Since when has Bolvar’s daughter been anything important till now?
Calia - See Bolvar’s Daughter.
Jaina got her brother- OMG what a nice thing. LMAO does anyone even care about Derek Proudmoore other than Jaina?
Reminder that you guys are trying to pick out nonsense to look smart?
amirite
This reads like “The Horde got a central narrative for the expansion and the alliance got some side stories”
Horde characters grow, change, and sometimes die because they are the main characters in the story.
Imagine half of alliance characters die or become evil.
Genn would probably die. And Malfurion. Tyrande is next raid boss. Anduind was actually Baine under cover spell all along
Genn is old, and angry.
This usually doesn’t lead to a long life.
Tyrande would justifiably be a raid boss as the Avatar of Elune, easily putting her on similar power levels of entities like Eonar.
Anduin and Baine have been pen pals since Pandaria.
None of these things will matter however since they are all Alliance Characters, which will be reduced to 1-off plots and side stories. Meanwhile the Horde has all the Plot.
Rastakhan was in the game for like five minutes, can you really call him a major horde character?
Saurfang abandoned the horde in time of strife, he was more of an undercover alliance adversary if anything.
Sylvanas, Nathanos, and Gallymix are MIA, not dead.
Since cataclysm actually (in book). Told Alliance about Garrosh plans and stuff.
Bloody traitor, why is HE still alive
For 200+ years if you actually pay attention to wow lore
Probably because being a “Bloody Traitor” lead to the Darkspear Rebellion… Something that Baine’s dad died for because he believed in it.
A unified movement of both sides to stage a coup against a Tyrant.
History is written by the Victors, and they decided to call Baine a Hero, not a Traitor.
Those 200+ years sure didn’t do him any favours.
For such a powerful leader, he sure made a great effort to look like a massive idiot to get Rezan killed, his bloodline cursed, and his own life in a raid.
