Oh noes horde gets story while alliance gets no story and therefore nobody dies

Yes you are right.

Just for context
Horde got story and that is why characters have had movement.

In contrast to the Alliance story of stupid leadership who will prop up the Horde no matter what (see Anduin using his last troops to help Saurfang while he won’t help his most staunch ally in Tyrande/Malfurion). Leadership who has been treasonous in it’s own right, some of which is now standing in Darkshore picking their noses for almost the entirety of the expansion.

Alliance leadership in one sentence. Uber powerful morons that are not allowed to be strategically or tactically sound much less brilliant and only exist to move the HORDE story/movie along while propping up the very same faction that always slaughters their people then lets them off the hook.

  1. Rastakhan WAS NEVER IN THE HORDE. Why don’t people understand that? The Zandalari did not join the Horde until Talanji agreed to in the Zandalari recruitment quest. The entire questline was literally her asking the Loa if the Zandalari SHOULD join the Horde.

  2. Gallywix isn’t out of the Horde, he’s just not the Goblin leader anymore. Two different things. He’s missing, but again, hasn’t left the Horde.

That’s 3 major characters you lost, not 2. MEANWHILE

Your logic says the characters leaving a faction is “losing” them.

As such, the Alliance lost Malfurion and Tyrande. They haven’t been seen since 8.1.5, and when Tyrande pops up in 8.3, it’s to yell at Anduin that she WON’T sign the peace treaty, to yell at Shandris that she won’t forgive the Horde until Sylvanas is dead, and leaves. That’s pretty much her resignation. Shandris has been leading the Night Elves for over a year.

On top of this, we’re losing Derek Proudmoore and Calia Menethil next patch as well. Who are they leaving for? Oh, that’s right. THEY’RE JOINING THE FORSAKEN.

So, what’s the final tally?

Alliance lost 4 major characters, Horde lost 3. (Even if you do count Gallywix, even though he hasn’t left the Horde, as he’s just missing), that’s still 4-4, but the Horde GAINED 2 major characters in Calia and Derek. That still puts Alliance down to the Horde.

So you wanna try that again?

EDIT: Also, sorry Labluegirl, I dunno why it “replied” to you, I didn’t click reply on your message.

It’s a joke to even bring up Rastakhan as a major character. Storywise, the dude literally existed to springboard his daughter into the leadership role.

As for Sylvanas, Nathanos, and Gallywix, none are dead. Sylvanas will be going into her THIRD straight expansion as the primary star and Nathanos will no doubt be given a prominent role as he continues to lick her boots.

All you’ve really lost is Saurfang, who got all of BfA as a love letter to his character as he got to die a hero & restore the Horde.

Also, don’t forget that the Alliance basically lost the Night Elves, both with Teldrassil and Tyrande breaking off and going batty.

He was never in the Horde officially. It wasn’t until we slit his throat that the Zandalari officially joined the Horde.

Because that’s who you put out your low-effort bait for.

I like Genn to be honest. I find him sympathetic even when he’s being stupid by trying to pursue Sylvanas in a time when all hands needed to be on deck. He’s probably one of the few Alliance characters I find interesting
so I don’t want to see him cark it anytime soon. So if they kill off/make insane/Thrallify one of the Alliance characters it had better be someone I don’t like.

Horde got Zappy boi and Lilian Voss
makes up for everything else!

Plus Sylvanas was never for the Horde anyways.

Personally i wouldnt be looking at the number of major NPC’s that my faction has lost vs what the other faction has lost to figure out which one is getting more favoritism from devs or writers. I’d be looking at stuff like which faction had more focus in the story. Or which faction had more of an active role when things were happening and which faction was passive or simply reacting to everything the other one did. But thats just me

Another thing too is that killing off major NPC’s is just their attempt to get you all emo about NPC’s that you’ve gotten attached too. I guess its like those TV shows and movies that build up a major character only to have them be killed off in a surprising/shocking way. If you dont like that style of writing then you should have spoken up when Thrall was told to step down as warchief or when Varian was killed. Because once they start doing that then no NPC and no waifu is safe from getting killed off.

Look you rolled the FotM faction for the perks, deal with it!

Personally I wouldn’t mind if they would knock off a few Alliance members

says the person playing the FoTM race VE

Losing story characters isn’t a big deal. They’re all replaceable.

absolutely! Elves forever!

Dreanei and Worgen and Night Elves are all VERY decent toons. Are you blind or something?

it doesnt matter when some players still cannot enjoy the game as others.

  • Sylvanas not dead, shes just SUPER AWESOME NOW!
  • Nathanos not dead, he needs to exist to be Sylvanas’s thrall.
  • Gallywix not dead, important to next expansion.
  • Saurfang is dead to make Sylvanas look MORE SUPER AWESOME and also a progressive statement against traditions like “honor” and “mok’gora”.
  • Rastakhan died to make Princess Talanji a queen. This is required. Everyone hated Rastakhan and his death was a progressive statement against traditions.

So what your saying is that they really do hate us more since they’ve saddled us with a Mary-Sue who keeps killing off characters to make herself look better.
