I love this class and I’m so sick of it being either mid or completely sucking. I love the vibe of a plate class that doesn’t rely on a safe space bubble or a rotting corpse to play. The Arms tree has needed a complete overhaul for a while, because it hasn’t been very versatile. Fury is almost criminally easy to play, but apparently we aren’t allowed to do decent damage with Fury either. Maybe because it’s too easy? I don’t know.
Just redesign Warr from the ground up already. Trash the old talents and rotations. I don’t know. Anything is better than this at this point. Sick of the game struggling to make Warr relevant (when it cares to), then backpedaling.

Honestly having entire rework or redesign of our class would benefit Warrior the long haul than what we’ve been constantly circling back into this problem constantly.
Whoever is warrior Dev has a SERIOUS Design flaw philosophy and can only tune things right at times but completely destroy the tuning in other avenues in the bad design execution they placed themselves in.
Honestly a ‘rework’ of our class tree is the only thing really needed.
Get rid of a lot of the baseless throughput nodes that clutter our tree, move and merge endurance training with either pain and gain or leeching strikes and make it a 1 point option that gives 10% stam and 10% CC reduction each spec gets. There’s no way it’s ok for Warriors to be the only melee who has to give up throughput to get a hp increase.
Change Crushing Force / Overwhelming Rage to 1 point talents, with their 2 point values.
Get rid of torments entirely.
Have avatar path into a choice node of Thunderous Roar / Champion’s Spear, all of which have their current two follow up talents baked into the abilities as one point investments (which means you can only ever have 1) enabling for some free points to be used on utility added to the 3rd rung instead of dps nodes or to double back for utility/talents from the 1st/2nd rungs for more build diversity.

It’s pretty clear that warrior dev don’t understand this class at all. Tuning based on heroic dungeon and raid doesn’t make any sense at all cause those are minor content most people do. Have you ever entered a heroic difficulty dungeon after M+ comes out? Clearly no. If you do heroic raid multiple times a week? You don’t even reclear heroic raid after certain weeks.
All those burst AOE of fury are given for compensating LOOW single-target dmg and LOW constant AOE, and they even took that from fury.
Can dev name a reason to bring a DPS warrior into M+/raid other than burst AOE?
Finally, when there are some classes out there are 20% ahead damage wise, does 5% AP matters anymore?

To be honest, this is the first time I’ve picked up Fury in like 6-8 years because of how damn smooth it’s (was) running.
They had everything right. Why not just hard cap every dps class at 5 targets. It’s so DUMB man…
Look I’m an Arms leaner by nature and having Cleave as a primary AoE ability ROCKS! But Arms has nothing going for it by comparison if both specs are meta with Slayer.

They did at the start of Shadowlands. But people complained so they, for the most part changed it so most aoe abilities do reduced damage beyond 5 or 8 targets. However they kept Fury’s main aoe rotation… at 5 targets. Which is why our burst aoe was good because odyns fury and thunderous roar was uncapped (for the most part). However in their insane wisdom, they want to nuke that because it was “too good”. And even when a group of mobs / bosses + adds are a total of 5 or less, our sustained aoe is still crap compared to other classes. Looking at you frost dk. And to put a nail in the coffin, our ST is crap as well.
So basically Blizzard is saying “oh yeah that one niche thing you are good at? You are now going to be terrible at it, just like everything else you do”.
