They even said there was a quest for it at the launch. The question isn’t the design choice at this point, as its 6 months past. The question is if someone does a iota of research before buying something at this point. Name one thing blizz didn’t give them that they paid for? They have the quest to get the mog, have the boosts, etc. Blizz honestly did nothing false or dishonest or wrong here, and I will be the first to say they would do something wrong as they do it ALOT

Yeah fast google search: Says it all https://www.wowhead.com/news=295984/wow-shadowlands-pre-order-transmog-and-illusion-eternal-traveler-vestments-wrait

How is it blizzard fault when people like OP throw money without thinking?

It doesn’t really matter. This is the same complaint that’s been going on since it was introduced: it’s crap design to make you grind for an item you’re paying for.

Which was not the point of this thread, but you still can’t seem to wrap your head around that. You’d rather just try to be smug and condescending, focusing only on one aspect of what you think is wrong with someone, instead of the overall point of the thread.

No one said they did. We’re just saying is crap design. Still not actually reading…

That doesn’t even make any logical sense. :woman_facepalming:

You just literally blamed a consumer for Blizz deciding that an item purchased should be gated behind a grind quest.

Did you even read what you typed?

Talking about the transmog quest? Well I guess be glad that you’ll have it and some people won’t? However if you use the mount people who don’t have it can get that quest.

Well… in the long run you only really dropped 5 more than the lower tier expac because you did get the free month. Silver lining…maybe?

At least in the past expansions of mists of pandaria and below the content patch vendors could be skipped then head directly to new content gear vendors, the way it is now I must have rep for 8.2 essences plus 8.3 essences. Technically I’m turned off by the game period thanks to azurite traits for perfect gear traits, leveling a necklace that never ends, grind rep for each and every toon for essences,no account bound ranks for necklace.

You mean they paid for access to earn something? Hmm not exactly bad choice considering its a GAME…

Except it absolutely does say: gives a quest to unlock this.

Yeah it your fault for not reading and do research on it, why do think blizzard keeps getting away with it, it exactly sucker like OP who keep falling for the same pre-order meme that they keep doing it.
No one control how you spend your money, it you yourself who can control how you spend it.

The quest is poor design why would i think to do full blown research on something like that, i started in legion if this is common practice for blizzard then i am not experienced in thier tactics. A quest is fine, what we got is not a “quest” its a time gate for no other purpose than just to have it. basically the $80 should have been enough. its not even about the transmog its the principle.

Wait… How is it a timegate? You can complete the quest whenever you want, theres nothing about time blocking this ability.

No. Paying for items out of the store is not paying a monthly fee to access the game and its quests.

This is an item bought outright, just like the mounts, pets and toys in the store. Just like every other item that we’ve bought for a preorder.

Which has absolutely nothing to do with Blizzard’s design of it in the first place.

Incorrect. You can get the first 3-4 to drop once a day. After that, it’s extremely difficult to see any others drop again for that day. The Blood Gate was nerfed and you can’t grind for these like you originally could.

Oh, lol. Just getting a free moment here and there waiting on boats at work. I can’t really read everything.

I never used the blood gate, I completed it by just playing the game. My mage still hasn’t even handed the quest in but I’ve collected the items long ago.

Not saying it wasn’t a grind, but it isn’t a timegate, thats what Pathfinder is.

My first week of trying was bugged and I wasn’t getting any drops. I had to do it on a different character. Took me two weeks to finish, due to work and I wasn’t on every day. I just did what I normally do, but they limited the number you can get so that people weren’t standing in places grinding for it.

And it is gated, because they limit you to how many you can get a day. You’ll get those first 3-4 and you’ll rarely, if at all, see any others again after that for the day. So it’s like doing a daily quest.
