Just found it interesting this scene reminded me so much of Aszhara also reminds me of the night elves and the moonwells in teldrassil. This is just one thing that has a striking resemblance to the wow story.
Galadriel, she is like Aszhara in so many ways when confronted the power of the ring and of sauron, sauron being N’zoth.
Given that LOTR was written decades before Blizzard existed, I feel like the roles should be switched here.

Some more comparisons include: Dwarves, gnomes (Halflings = Hobbits), elves being immortal, and there’s a weapon that looks like Sauron’s mace from the movie scene. I forgot the name of it, but it comes from a classic transmog.
Pretty much every fantasy fiction has similarities with LOTR, the god father of fantasy. LOTR itself is an amalgamation of folk tales, legends and religions from various cultures also.
