From the latest article on wowhead regarding void elf dh’s

The problem with the above statement of other class/race combos is that if it’s not dh’s or evokers as the other opportunity then what’s the point of that statement? All other classes besides those two have multiple race options for each class. There will be zero excitement for orcs to be paladins or any other option.

So now you have two options give horde players another evoker race, which I doubt will ever happen, or another dh race for horde which the only real fit would be nightborne. While cool, it doesn’t really move the needle for most players.

If this expansion has a theme of reuniting the elven tribes, then it makes sense that velfs would be welcome back to silvermoon.

Personally I’m getting tired of hearing “oh for lore reasons these races cant play on this faction.” Every expansion we are teaming up to fight the bad. And now horde and alliance can team up for everything in game. Just allow every race to play where they want to play.

So far, there is no case to be made that we should create a 3rd blood elf. We have ample evidence showing this would be a bad idea.

Or is this a “the alliance should get what they want, because we get upset if everything doesnt go our way” sorta thing

Because people want it? And its not like it has to be a complete copy. The Amani are being added to the Horde. Something similar could be done for high elves.

anything else is an insult to every person asking for high elves. Every high elf thread is full of the lore and lore reasons high elves should exist. Suddenly saying none of that matters, is either insulting or hypocrisy.

there is no justification for anything besides a pure copy/paste
