Just make it a toy or passive spell already!

Title.

A few items, recent and old are in desperate need of a toy conversion or turning into a passive spell to reduce their bag space.

Toy:

Banners of Cooperation (guild reward)

Direbrew’s Remote (?)

Kafa press (MoP)

Key to Nar’thalas Academy (Legion)

Mesmerizing Fruit Hat (MoP)

Ra’sha’s Sacrificial Dagger (MoP)- remove level restriction

Weather stones (MoP)

Critter Cannon (?)

Passive Spell:

Grappling Hook (legion)

Mana divining stone (legion)

7th legion/honorbound flightpath map (bfa)

There’s others. Feel free to post with ones you notice. I’m sure there’s a third bonus category: “belongs in currency tab” but I didn’t want to get overly ambitious.

Dont forget the Blizzard Stone and any weather related items like that!

I just summed them up under “weather stones” to cover all four.

Oh I didnt connect the two sorry.

Probably hearthstones. There are already hearthstone-replacing items that can be found in the toys tab, so it’s strange that the base one (and the garrison/dalaran versions) haven’t either been moved to the spellbook or to the toy collection.

But it’s probably more out of tradition than anything that they keep it as a physical item in your bags.

There’s a stupid little cannon that’s supposed to kill critters, but it doesn’t actually kill them and just shoots after them. Its also not a toy :L Very much should be a toy. Its useless and only has like 10 charges! How lame.

Give me a toy called “Bottomless Inky Black Potion” and without a dumb cooldown, too. Too much to ask? Not really, but Blizzard might think otherwise.

if this could be brought back as a toy without the dumb level restriction i’d be a very happy panda

Aren’t the other maps heirloom/toy type items anyway? so why not add these to that.

Talent/active spell, in a way, for rogues, so I would not expect this one to be added as a passive but I would hope they utilize it in some way.

In the same vein as the grappling hook, the Thunderlord Grapple from WoD could be retooled and made a toy easily (current version=“death grip” that only works in frostfire, retooled could be pull anything to you).

They are already toys. Not sure why the bfa one wasn’t the same. You literally have to mail it to each one of your toons. Talk about a timesink.

Finally added? Yessssss
Now i can make my nights even darker (always night in this timezone), having fun for a few minutes, then realizing i can’t see anything on the ground and sadly clicking it off.

this one would probably never have it’s restriction removed due to it’s usefulness in raids and other situations where killing yourself is beneficial (which is why they put a level restriction on it in the first place when it originally didn’t have one)

  • No durability loss
  • Quick raid wipes
  • When a PVP match goes sour, prevent them from getting the killing blow
  • RP scenarios/videos
  • Duel a low-level/twink and make his/her day

Personally, I use to use it for that last one… back when MoP was fresh and the knife was new, I would duel random low level players, and use the knife and they win the duel, and I’d be like, WTF did you do!!! and they’d be confused as to what happened xD

But in all seriousness, it was banned due to it being exploited in raids. for example back during 5.4 some guilds discovered you could cheese Garrosh’s P4 Malice by having the targeted player suicide so the rest of the raid could spread and prevent a bombardment. IMO, blizzard should just put a raid and pvp restriction on it so it can’t be used in either of those situations, or a simple can’t be used in combat restriction.

If you people get our guild banners taken away, we’re gonna riot.

They’ve pretty much disabled all toys in raids, because reasons.

Not taken away, added to the toy box.

Unless having them in the bags has some added benefit I’m not aware of.

Yes, there are alot of things that should be looked into making a toy/spell. I feel like its been a few years since they did that.

Grappling Hook (legion) - if you mean the Stormheim item that lets you climb the hooks on mountains, you dont need it in your bags. You can destroy it & the hooks will still work.

Two more suggestions:

A lot of those things belong in the trash as they stopped being useful many levels ago.

I would prefer it become a toy. That way it would remain toggleable. In some areas of Suramar, it can create too much map clutter and obscure objectives.

i dumped a lot of the kafa soulbound stuff during warlords. and the grappling hook once i got legion pathfinder; i never found any hooks indoors, and outside i just mount up and fly
