It was funny because all the starting places were full of people playing. Before Classic was announced these places were dead. I am thinking people are so hyped up about playing classic that they are just there to scratch that itch. Even I started a new character for a few minutes, but it was not the same. I think classic is going to be more popular then Blizzard anticipated. What do you think?

I tried but made level 10 in like 5 minutes running around and tab dotting was never in any danger and there was no real adventure to it. Tomorrow can’t come soon enough.

I know what you mean, it held my attention for about 5 minutes, just too easy. I could not even make it that far. And the thought of going back to BFA held no interest for me as I looked at my toon

Same here. I played for the days and had 5 characters to level 20, and they all had at least one piece of purple gear too.

Blizzard added the “random chance for item upgrade” to old world content. So yes, your level 20 Blanchy’s Cape can randomly upgrade to a purple quality.

I’m betting people wanting to scratch the itch, but as soon as classic launches and they realize how long it’s actually going to take to level up they’ll be back in retail with a quickness.

I played retail for X mins and it was too easy…I had forgotten how ridiculous the WoW forums were :))
Probably the same people who whinged constantly about how unbalanced Vanilla was lol.

Resubbed so I could do the stress test. Been screwing around with lowbies since just to get a general feel of the classes again. Was suprised at the # of people in the starting zones, until I got into conversation in general. Quite a # of people (at least those that would jump into the conversation) were like me, just screwing around waiting for classic, haha.

I only wish. Retail is exactly that bad of not worse.
You only have to look at Blizzard adding servers on an almost daily basis now to see they severely underestimated Classic’s popularity.
I did the whole start a new character to fill my time until Classic goes live, I lasted until lvl 68, and all it did was repeatedly show me why I left WoW back 10 years ago. I think it’s actually worse than it was back in Cataclysm.
I think right now, Blizzard is having that “get woke” moment, there are probably more than few employee’s who are questioning when they’re going to be pulled into a meeting for a “chat”. I know if I was one of the devs for the last 10 years, i’d be sh!tting a brick right now.
