This event is toxic as all hell with people just AFK’ing the whole time until they can snipe the NPC. The chest I’ve been grinding out for doesn’t even drop (Leather Warding). Just let me buy the damn thing for 100 runes so I can call it a day.

Me sitting here like “Wait, you guys get Necrotic Runes?”
Not sure what server/faction you are on. At this point even today, there are plenty of areas where you can literally just solo mobs with few to no one around to easily get up to 30+ runes or more before shard is up. I got over 100 a couple nights ago just solo at a shard for 40mins on my spriest and still see this happening to today. At least on my PVE server that is, not sure about the pvp servers. Like horde can go to Tanaris (especially later hours) and Alliance seem to have little competition on some of the E. kingdom spawns.
A lot of people are just doing valor grinds in EPL since you can turn in the quest like 4-5 times during one event for 160+ valor items. You need 150 from what is being shown in PTR to do your first dawn buff upgrade, so a lot of people are starting to just stay in that zone, making life in other zones a little easier. Things seem to be changing by the day though so we’ll see if anything else happens to make the event better or worse.
Do Kara C. run each day if you can too, I think it’s more likely you’ll get your chest piece and bracers there.

Countless Shade kills and only seen 3 cloth dps chests and been out rolled on all.
Seen plenty of the plate/leather chests.
This is toxic because the set piece is basically essential otherwise naxx will be gatekept by groups due to not having enough sanctified items
Warding Leather Chest doesn’t exist as far as I’ve seen. Never seen one drop on all the shade kills I’ve done, and Kara every day.
They could also just put the set items on the new dungeon bosses added to strat scholo and dm

ngl oposite for me. Ran Kara every day since it’s been out, done a couple of the invasions here and there for maybe 2-3 hours a night. I seem to see a lot of the cloth/leather but barely any plate/mail.
Regardless ya just let us buy the gear w Necro runes. I only need the chest on my Shaman.
I’ve seen every tank chest under the sun, except the leather one. I’ve also seen mostly Leather Healing Chests and Mail Chests in general.
Seen the plate dps one a few times lost my first roll on it to a mage…
My favorite are the people who magically log in with 10% left and sit in the same spot waiting to jack elites
