Just let us add everything to our appearance collection

regardless of whether my character can equip it or not

that’s all

thanks

EDIT:

since some people are confused, not advocating for removing armor restrictions, just removing appearance collection restrictions

e.g. not saying mages should be able to equip shields, but that they should be able to just collect the appearance of shields that they loot

I for one would the ability

It’d cut down on degenerate forms of multiboxing where we’re forced to run all armor/weapon types through the same dungeons so that we don’t feel like we’re “wasting” anything.

Otherwise it feels awful getting Tusks on a Mage.

but but but…

That would be… SENSIBLE!!!

We cant have THAT!

The game needs this. Imagine getting Garrosh shoulders on your mage.

I got the sunwell leggo bow on my pally and it has never once dropped for any of my bow wielding toons

but hey, at least it’s getting some good use in void storage

Never do a tmog run without your warrior in the group

Kinda kills class identity a bit, doesn’t it

How does that take away class identity? They’re just asking for things to be added to our collection regardless if it’s equippable or not.

OP isn’t asking for cloth wearers to be able to mog plate. They just want all armor to be added to our appearance tabs regardless of what class loots it.

I personally would prefer them just to make all items from legacy content be Bind-on-Account, that way, if you get a drop one character can’t equip, you can just mail it to another of your characters that can. Class identity protected, problem solved.

Ah, then I’m totally getting the wrong idea from this thread.

Even based on the replies, that’s how I am reading it.

But anyways, ff they all mean that you get the cosmetic rewarded to your account regardless of the class you’re running the dungeon on, then yeah - that’d be convenient.

No? They’re asking for transmog added to the tab, not the ability to transmog it.

BUT…

On that subject…

Armor identity went out the window with cosmetic sets, heritage armor and the Yeti Onesie.

Yeah I came into the thread with the impression it was a, “why can’t my rogue use plate appearances” thread.

Unrestricting appearance acquisition though? Yes please. Although it’d probably only apply to BoP stuff, BoE is unavoidably going to need to be equipped.

How does being able to collect an appearance that I can’t use compromise class identity though

Not saying paladins should be allowed to equip bows, just that if they loot one, I don’t see why that bow can’t go into their appearance collection

Yeah I figured you just read it wrong lol.

Not that I do a lot of running now but this is the exact reason I refuse to run SoO on anything but a plate character. I think this might actually break me if it happened.

How do y’all still have the will power to run SoO? It’s way too long lol

Oh I don’t anymore, lol. I haven’t done mog runs in a while, but back when I did I only ran with my plate toons.

I would love if you could collect appearances on anything even if you can’t equip it. Would make things so much nicer.

Heroic lockouts are great for Tusks runs.

For anything else in that raid - bring all 4 armor types with you and hope for the best.
