this is my 2nd post today on the forums about how toxic and unachievable attunements are for your game, blizzard.

You can say all you want (people reading this post) to just join a guild and they’ll help you with attunements. You can say all you want that you can just put together your own groups all day and do your attunements. That’s fair. You can type all you want on your keyboard because you’re already attuned.

In reality? ( and i speak for everyone here on an alt) Your guild is playing other games on discord. People aren’t online. They recruit players for raid content, and do nothing to help these players attune to the content they’re recruiting for. You ask anyone in guild chat to come heal a dungeon, and you’re ignored. Why? They’re just gold farming. They dont actually care about new recruits.

Where does that leave you? To the looking for group channel, where dps slots are rare. Make your own group? It disbands because you cant find a healer. Because you cant find a tank. Wait for the specific dungeon you need to come along, and for the specific team comp to accept you? As a non meta spec, good luck.

Re spec to a healer or a tank? Doesn’t work also. It’s just as hard finding a group, just as miserable.

So no, for alts playing the game after the initial hype back in july, there’s no way to get attuned. You cant just join a guild because guild members don’t give a sht.

You all know this to be true. You can disagree, but you’re attuned. I’m not.

It’s frustrating. I joined a guild as a ret paladin main, and NOBODY is helping me. Even with a guild with 3 raid groups. I re spec’d prot and have been trying all day to run dungeons and i’ve had most of them fall apart because of lack of healers, or people blaming me because i’m not a tank main.

I don’t know what to do. I want to play this game. Blizzard makes it so frustrating to enjoy and I KNOW THAT IT’S HOW IT WAS BACK IN 2007 WHEN TBC WAS CURRENT CONTENT.

It’s not 2007, though. The playerbase is dwindling in tbc, blizzard, Everyone reading this. You know it’s true. You know WHY the playerbase is dwindling.

Anyone that tells you the game isn’t fairly dead outside people road logging is lying to you.

Don’t get me wrong I still love TBC my guild still loves TBC. But there simply isn’t much to do outside raid nights

Weird, I respec heals and can find a group in 10-15 mins tops. Prolly doing something wrong.

WOW TBC classic has been out for 123 days.

There’s been plenty of time to get attuned.

If a guild is desperate enough, they’ll help you.

Otherwise, it’s just human nature. People for the most part only care about themselves.

Edit: We had a couple re-rolls and some new people come in. And we were desperate for people. We literally spent all weekend, getting them geared up and attuned.

Out of curiosity, what have you done to help other guild members?

I’ve found it can be easier to get help in a guild once you’ve broken the proverbial ice. It’s not guaranteed to work, but it may be something to consider.

For attunements its dead easy to do them.

The solos quests you do them exactly as there meant to solo no big.

The group parts not a big deal again wait till a tank posts to sell tank services in trade and tell them will pay half that to do the group quests good deal for them they come since you got a tank people join to help and often doable with just 2 assuming you bought a geared tank.

5 man instance parts again easy, once again buy a tank thats geared now that you got a tank dps join you like flys to honey. The healer you may need to buy based on realm but if you got a geared tank you don’t need a super geared healer hell your a pally just heal it yourself. If you can’t buy a tank or healer its since your realm is dead and the issue is NOT lack of help but you picking a bad realm.

The last parts the raid part yes your guild helps with. When people said your guild will help you with attunements they are talking about the raid parts NOT the 5 man and solo parts thats on YOU.

Where months into tbc if you want people to do old content for you, you need to give them a reason that means either being a class/spec they want enough to power you by the 5 mans and I have done this for people as wanted those specs or you pay them to. Otherwise you better be there friend and as such its a favor. It is NOT costly at all to hire people to do a instance with you approx 50g per tank/healer (100g if there p2 bis what I charge now) so 100-200g a run if hireing both thats around 7-10 quests worth of gold and every day your daillys give more than that + can farm it in no time. Your asking people to give up there time to help you as such you compensate them. That is how the world works if you don’t understand that your issues are at a more basic level than not being attuned.

This is coming from someone with 4 diff attuned chars now. One done in the last week. This is also coming from someone that has made epic flying for 3 toons from selling tank services for people needing attunes. The 4th was from questing on the first toon. You want help you pay for it. People don’t want to nor should they have to carry your butt by content they have done a few hundred times for other people already for free. Making it worth there wild and you will get help.

Stop being lazy you not being able to get attuned is 100% on YOU.

This. My server is well populated but no one is ever on except for raid nights.

TBC classic is dying faster than original TBC. Anyone who claims otherwise is flat out lying.

It’s not dying, there’s a ton of people around, it’s just no one is doing anything but SSC/TK anymore.

I’m sorry, but it sounds like you are just failing hard at MMORPGing. This is a social game.

First of all, it would have been better for you to get attuned when everyone else was getting attuned. Makes it much easier. If you’re late, it’s going to be more difficult.

And either way, you’re going to have to use your social skills to get things done. That’s just an integral part of WoW Classic. You can’t just press a button. You have to actually talk to people in Classic to get group content done.

If you can’t be self sufficient enough to even get attuned for the instances I’m not sure if you’d be very useful in them, it sounds like you need an extra helping of spoon feeding
