171g and 15 Weathered Crests? Jeez the payoff is kinda sucky, guess I’ll be killing time to hit the crest cap with this since I’m close to done with everything.
service is its own reward
Bunch of doordash tippers.
i tip 20% is that bad
I don’t know. I don’t use doordash. I just see the complaints on Reddit all the time about the bad tips.
If there are complaints I’d be wary of ordering lol, I hear stories of these doordashers doing stuff with people’s food.
I tip 20% when eating at a restaurant regardless of service. I tip 10% when picking up food. And I tip $10 for delivery no matter how much the food cost, because driving two steaks two miles is the same work as driving 12 Big Macs 2 miles. If I can’t afford tipping when ordering, I just don’t order.
i used to give a dollar per mile but then i just started doing the %ages
They should of had one of the deliveries go to a goblin wearing a fedora and be just tips it at you
No reward for actually doing it
Drivers aren’t affiliated with the restaurant so tipping based on what the restaurant charges just doesn’t make sense imo. And if you order $10 worth of food and tip 20% then yes that’s bad. Would you want to go pick up somebody’s food and drive it to them for $2? Nope!
Tip, imo, should be based on how far away the restaurant is, whether it’s a holiday, etc. I would say a bare minimum of $6-$7 would be reasonable if it’s close to your residence.
Now if you’re ordering such a grotesque amount of food that they’re dragging 4 bags and a tray of drinks around that’s one thing, but otherwise I generally tip $8-10 or so for something that’s near my house (within 10 minutes driving). If it’s farther away than that I’ll tip up to $15-20 depending on just how far.
i know drivers get 2 dollars per order
This is very similar to my policy, except I don’t tip when picking food up myself. Good on you, but 10% just for them to make it and hand it to you is wild imo because the price of the food is literally you paying them to make it lol.
I should have added, I’m a massage therapist and need to make nice with the locals lol. I’m totally being selfish by tipping 10% for a pickup, but I do feel like some sort of philanthropist when doing it.
