Just got an email from noreply@e.blizzard.com; fake?

Added a screenshot of the email.

I got this one too, I seem to remember Qualtrics is a company Blizzard does use for it’s surveys.

Got it too, just tried it, after answering like 2 questions it decided I wasn’t the type of player they’re looking for I guess. . . Like yall can tell what I play by my account why send this? My answers favored MMOs, apparently they didnt want an MMO player.

I guess no one respects the DO NOT share this email :incoming_envelope::angry:

But I didn’t get one so now I feel left out.

They tend to be a random sampling of the customer base from across the games.

The surveys are put together by the User Research Team with input from the departments that need information. They have an opt in for more detailed surveys, but I never got one.

Sometimes I get them, sometimes I don’t.

P.S. Yes, this is real and I do have the Survey now that I went and looked.

I did not get one focused on that, although I have gotten ones that ask a whole huge list of game types I play which included mobile as an option (I don’t do mobile games).

Last time i got a survey it asked me mobile game questions.

Then it stopped asking me anything.

lmao.

So is it safe to say this is about the future of Blizzard mobile games and you probably get filtered or if you’re not a whale?

Also, do you think the 2 hr trial is just diablo immortal?

Could be it, it didn’t like my answers for sure. And I answered mostly around the PoV of someone who only plays WoW and some of the Warcraft series games on PC.

Bruh.

Imagine if they pretend they were doing research and the whole thing was just a ruse to get people who would never play Diablo Immortal to run. Because even if they offered a gift coupon of 40$ to 500 people (which is NOT the same as giving out 40$, store credit for digital goods doesn’t cost them anything unless you use it to buy something you were already going to buy with actual cash), if even one of them turned out to be a whale that spent +20,000$ it would be worth it.

No. The survey is not about whales or mobile games.

No. That game is free to play (with the MTX end game) and released already.

This is something else. I don’t know what, but something else. It also did not like my answers as to which games I play. But Blizz should already know my games anyway…not like they can’t see what is on my launcher. I guess some people play on Console though, so that might be part of it.

Besides, we can’t reveal what it asked anyway. I can say nothing mobile related though.

It’s probably legit, it has nothing that strikes me as a phishing attempt.

Well, now that it’s shared surely the research is going to be ruined, right?

I mean I don’t have high hopes that many places still care about wow forums but isn’t this the kind of thing someone could pick up and run a story with and tilt the outcome on?

Eg. Everyone deliberately filtering themselves out so research shows no one wants another DI

Or

Everyone deliberately answers in the most whale like way to get access to DI

They all have access to DI already…

There is nothing Mobile related in it that I saw.

Don’t you just love these absolutely biased surveys. “Sorry, your opinion doesn’t line up with what we are looking for, I’m going to cut you off here”

Soz, didn’t see your first reply when I wrote this. I haven’t been following DI so I thought it was a closed beta or something.

:man_shrugging: dunno then

That is not what is going on.

If I need data on people who eat peanutbutter cookies, I am going to first ask what kind of cookies they eat. If they don’t eat peanutbutter cookies, then they are not the sample group I need.

Why ask someone an opinion about a game, or game type, they don’t even play?

It literally says “sorry you don’t seem to eat the type of cookies we are interested in research on” type of thing.

This is survey data collection 101.

Is there an answer there which says greed is ‘not’ good? A few streamers are quoting 500k USD to max out a DI toon.

Oh I got one! I’ll take it and see what it does.

Oh neat! I got invited to this thing to try out overwatch 2 then fill out survey thingies and I get a gift card.

It looks legit it didn’t ask for log in info just email and name.
