I like Classic, and there are a lot of people that do.
But when you’ve had several different versions of Classic in the last 5 years, it gets so old after a bit. TBC was only done once, but Vanilla done several times. Classic Era, SoD, SoM, Classic Hardcore, the 2019 vanilla classic, etc.
I think people are just getting tired of Vanilla and just want TBC/Wrath again, because those only came once in 5 years compared to the many iterations of Vanilla.

Fresh tbc would of made sense. But these guys screwed up sod and neglected tbc and wrath era. Not surprised tbh
While I’m happy with what we got, I do feel there was a missed opportunity for a unique experience with this. A TBC realm that was gated to Azeroth content so we could play it with the talent changes and the new races would have offered a unique raiding experience before moving into TBC. I think it would have been a blast.
I agree, a fresh TBC server would’ve been hopping. I would’ve got in that right away. I think some if not most of the player base is like “Another vanilla server?” I mean, nothing wrong with Classic, but it’s not very fun for me anyway to level yet another toon just to 60 and start everything over again with the same talents, same raids, same dungeons that we’ve been doing constantly over the last 5 years.
i made a tiny gnome mage and ran him to the first inn to camp out. Ill load him up when tbc phase starts as well (if im still subbed by than) lol
Same, I’m not playing until they add the boost. This game does not respect my time and I am far too busy to spend 8 hours a day spamming 2 over and over to try to keep up with a time table built for streamers.
Achivement available only during vanilla can be see only in WOTLK.

TBC still exists, Vanilla does not, that is the big difference.
You can run all TBC content just fine on retail, you don´t need a TBC realm for it. You just can´t get certain achievements anymore, but quests and raids are all there.
I am all for a fresh TBC realm at one point, where we truly level from 1 all together. Sadly, this may only be a thing after SOD is finished, when they come up with a new altered version for us to play.

TBC will have the boost which allows those of us with busier real lives to catch up to those who don’t.
I have the time when things are released in their original time frame. But now that streamers and their acolytes comprise the majority of the classic player base and want to speed run through the content, those of us with jobs and GFs are left behind.
Okay, only in levels though.
BC is the same if not worse than vanilla for anything other than leveling however.

I 100% agree. My heart sank knowing that we have to wait a whole year (at least) to play TBC. While classic is great, I just don’t think I have it in my to level from 1-60 and run the same raids. Plus, I want to make a Blood Elf Paladin or Draeni Shaman. Looks like I will be in the TBC waiting room until pre-patch.
P.S. I am not in favor of a boost. I would 100% level 1-70 if TBC was out right now.

It’s not that “it’s old” for me. I don’t want to do fresh because I have characters on Era still in the process of being leveled and I don’t want to abandon that progress. Blizzard has not answered us on if we will be able to transfer Era characters to TBC servers. (with certain restrictions)
Secondly, I also want to feel that if I’m forced to make a character on fresh for TBC that I will have a permanent TBC home. Blizzard won’t even come out and tell us that. So fresh is going to wait until the last patch when it’s not fresh anymore because Blizzard won’t communicate some things with us.
