Just give us flying already!

Flying doesn’t matter. Blizzard should not waste their time on flying when they have core game-play issues to address; repetitive grinding, un-engaging content, class/spec imbalance, RNG overload. These are ALL issues which SHOULD take precedent.

Blizzard would never address those. The has been several problems in game since the release of BfA and those issues haven’t been fixed yet.

Which is EXACTLY why they need to be the focus now. Only by correcting these mistakes will the game improve. A focus on flying is a focus on failure, and a complete waste of time.

Maybe to you, Flying maybe a complete waste of time. But if you find flying to be a waste of time, then just don’t fly

How bout you dont waste Blizzard’s time, and let them focus on fixing what’s ACTUALLY important. Core game-play issues take priority. I don’t care that you want to fly, I care that you are actively trying to divert attention to issues that DO NOT MATTER.

Will you stop. It isn’t Sunday anymore.

The game is better off without flying.

Gosh Tenchu, you and Ion should work together. You both are totally against fun.

Serious question. How does a winged animal type on a message board?
Also bug, bird, or bat?

I am beginning to wish they would just stop gating flight behind path finder and let us buy flight master licenses. If not when we hit max level at least three months after an expansion drops.

Nothing makes me “like” patch finder more than waiting more than half a year only for them to make a new and annoying zone like argus that I cannot fly in.

Oh I have no issue with Pathfinder, it is just the gating behind several patches that kinda annoys me the most.

I loved this game because of the people I spent years playing with… I could forgive WoD because they stuck it out. But BfA-- Even the guys with those golden thrall statues from the ten-year anniversary called it quits. Blizzard catered to the wrong people this time, and frankly, it shows.

I’m not against fun. I’m against ignorance. Flying is not a solution; it’s part of the problem.

I don’t have a problem with no flight stuff besides…you should be thanking blizzard cause if they added flying in the new areas. You would be dead from fall damage since one of my characters has a net-o-matic and is obsessed with making hordies fall.

What I dislike about it is that it gates flight and that it is a way for blizzard to string us along over multiple patches and make everyone grind various things like rep.

It used to be that I could just purchase flight at max level (basic flight has always been cheap btw) and I do not see why we cannot have purchasable flight masters licenses and pathfinder at the same time.

Man, I remember in TBC we had to grind rep for some upgrades to our gear. Rep Grinding has always been within the game man. But with how much grinding there is in the game though, I wouldn’t blame you for hating the rep grinding part.

Honestly they are not really wrong. The game isn’t designed around flying anymore and that’s what the issue is. Was the game still designed in the manner of TBC and WotLK where it’s accepted that you require flying to unlock/reach certain areas you are required to fly. It makes sense to give it to us.

When the world is designed around being able to get everywhere via the ground, flying is not a necessity and is now just a convenience, they can hold it off as long as they like and claim “the content is still current”

So yes, the problem is not “no flying” but that content isn’t designed around us using flying.

I personally liked the feeling of unlocking new content by gaining flying. It felt like the world opened up to us.
This current WoD/Legion/BfA design is boring as hell, not because of pathfinder, not because of time-gating, but because it serves no purpose in the game outside of convenience.

You’re a blood elf. How do you figure?

That was a long time ago and at least the reps were fairly useful, seems like rep these days only serves as a gate for flight and certain vanity items like those out of paragon caches. In terms of gearing I got really good gear in dungeons, from pvp vendors, and from crafting.

Pathfinder, when initially pitched, sounded fine. Do the things, get off the ground. I was all, “Heck yeah bro. gimme!”

Then they added the “And after you do the things, wait until we feel like the meat of the expac is over and we’ve funneled you into a no-fly zone til the end” part, and that was bogus as. Yes, MoP had end game no-fly zones, but it worked because we’d been flying over the mainland since we hit max level.

Now, with pathfinder’s multiple parts and the immediate release of a no-fly zone, they can keep pretending like they agreed with the players who really want flight without having to actually give us flight.

Sorry, but you are wrong. Flying does matter!
