Yes, we in the industry call that a straw-man, it’s what happens when you don’t have a point to argue anymore.

Literally look through the High Elf mega-threads to see a wild Heca appear.
Except for they easily can be developed as their own race as they have their own separate story in WoW, away from the Blood Elves, waiting to be expanded on.
If they can make Humans and Trolls again and make them look and animate wildly different, they can do it for High Elves.
This isn’t a difficult concept to imagine, it’s just a difficult concept to grasp when you’re filled to the brim with bias. 
Yes, lying about High Elf supporter numbers and Lore nuance about High Elves and Blood Elves definitely isn’t bad faith Heca.
But i forgot, Bad faith= Facts to the regular anti.

It is a fact that they are not playable, owing to the fact that their isn’t really a way to meaningfully develop them as a playable race that is distinct from the 4 other elves aside from having blue eyes.
There are plenty of ways to do so.
It’s the loudest. You have a motivated group that has a history of invading other threads and spamming the forum about their request. We do not know exact numbers, we just know that they make themselves known the loudest. And a few people who want them have gone to the effort to use multiple characters to signal boost their posts. It’s probably a really small number who do that, but each account they have does give them up to 50 likes on the forums.
I’m kind of sad he stopped calling people casuals about the lore, that was kinda funny.

It’s fine to think this way, I would much rather see Vrykul or something more original.
With that being said, I completely support the request for playable high elves, as I would be very happy to see others enjoying a race they’re fans of. Especially since playable races have no effect on game play.

Not really; they’re basically just blood elves with a different ideology so they’d have the same racials and probably less class options.

Heca’s thing is pretending intensity is inherently incorrect and evil. Think he’s on the wrong faction.

To me, the Dev’s wasted a real opportunity with the quillboar in SSV; they could have been a really intriguing addition due to a comparatively unique skin, potentially powerful racials and a different perspective then what the alliance normally has.
Alternately, either the arakoa or the ethereals would have been fascinating options and certainly better ground to tread then high elves.
The actual truth is people like Heca don’t like discussing with someone who constantly is condescending and at times insulting, something that isn’t necessary at all.

There are many directions they could take the lore though. Maybe prompted by the burning of Teldrassil they forge bonds with night elves and turn more to nature magic. Nightborne are an echo of the blood elf theme after all. Or blizzard could explore their ties with wildhammer and they could be shaman. None of the other elves can be, so they would be unique in that sense.

The actual, actual truth is Heca and I have a long history of pretending to argue while he backs away from any actual discussion while providing incorrect statements about the impact of High Elves in the game.
Instigation does not deserve respect when it’s consistent and done in bad faith.
He comes to Pro, threads, and is shocked when people bite back at his lore-nuance ignoring.
Condescension is mild, compared to willful toxicity.
