ion has already said belves are helves. it doesn’t get more clear than that. but this blue eyes thing really gets rid of any hope that helfers had left, if they’re intelligent.

They would still be Void Elves they would just have the customization options to look like a High Elves.
But they have clarified. My In game race is ‘Blood Elf’ Vereesa’s in game race is ‘High Elf’ they outright have different races as a game mechanic for blodoelves and high elves.

Except they already joined and are playable on the horde, which is literally what the developers of the game itself have stated. Stealing a race from one faction and giving it to the opposite to be playable isn’t going to happen.
Like I said, you’re better of requesting blood elves swap factions. They almost did in MoP. That makes 100% more sense and is more reasonable to me.

There are already Helfs on the Alliance right now, you just can’t play as them.

Everyone is missing the obvious lore reason why no playable high elves.
The ones that are left are too busy mating with human potential and making half-elf kids.
That’s honestly the only new elf race I could see being introduced at this point that is high-elf adjacent.
Those elf women just can’t resist those gorilla arms and goofy human faces.

I think it might even them out and then some. It would likely shift most of the blood elves to Alliance which is a very large percent of the Horde player base. I think that one race alone could flip the faction balance and thus will never happen. Why trade one problem for another?
i was initially confused when they said in threads that elves were against interbreeding when literally every windrunner is jocking a human guy. lol
Which is fine. But they shouldn’t be playable because they’re already playable for the horde.
That’d be like worgen being NPCs with the horde and the horde demanding they ALSO get worgen. It would be wrong and not okay.

I doubt it, a lot of people switched horde because the raiding scene was healthier. Those people are unlikely to switch because of a new aesthetic.
