Just ganked someone and he somehow managed to BattleTag add me

Just ganked a Warlock, and he somehow managed to get my BattleTag and add me.
Whatever it is that enabled him to do so, Blizzard please break it.

When I accepted his BatteTag request, his Warlock name showed up in brackets next to his BattleTag name, so no it wasn’t his second account.

This is where the problem is, you ACCEPTED his request.

So what did he say after you added him?

It’s pretty funny actually. I would have kept ganking him though.

What we all really opened this thread for :wink:

  1. I didn’t know it was him, since his Battle Tag was different than his character name.

  2. Right now on PVP servers, if you right click the portrait of the enemy faction you can only report said player for cheating etc. There is no option to add opposite faction players on PVP servers in Classic.

Why are you accepting random Battletag friend requests in the first place?

So what happened after you accepted him.

If only blizzard provided multiple solutions to this, like not forcing you to accept every bnet invite or letting you drop someone after accepting their invite.

Are you dumb? Blizzard designed it so you couldn’t right click add opposite faction in Classic.

Addons like this should not exist in Classic. Period.

I’m not the dummy accepting random Battle tag invites from people I haven’t talked to specifically about adding me first.

That’s sad.

I would of tried to make him log or at the very least tag all his mobs for even daring to /w me and being nice.

So we can all agree you shouldn’t accept random battle net invites.

but I am curious as to how he added him, because you can’t actually add people on bnet if they’re on the enemy faction.

Presumably he’s on a PvP server too, which means that the person couldn’t just make a level 1 alt of the other faction.

You must be new to PvP server action.

That’s weird.

You’re on a PvP server right OP?

I wonder if not being able to add people on the opposite faction only applies to PvP servers.

You’re mad about someone figuring out how to send you a nice message after you mercilessly ganked them? Mad enough to come her and make a thread about it…

Then you call others on your thread dumb because they stated the obvious point of why accept random friend requests… After you have been mercilessly ganking someone… Whew lad you must be fun at parties.

Yup it’s a PVP server.
