Just Flush the Covenant System

It’s clear that the community can’t handle anything that isn’t a talent row or some straightforward menu.

Just remove the Covenant system entirely if it doesn’t work 9.0.

Oh I’m sure they’ll take that advice or something simple… hey, know all that work you did? Yeah burn it.

No one liked Essences or Corruptions, did they? I bet that was a real morale booster too.

I liked essences and corruptions- just not the acquisition method.

Yeah, let’s drop the entire system the expansion is built around at the last minute. That would work wonders.

I mean keep the Covenant specific abilities (like the steward for Kyrian) tied to its Covenant, but Class abilities should be on a talent row.

GG problem solved.

Now for conduits…

Essences were fun, Corruptions were horrible. Acquisition method for both were disgusting.

Just flush it all. No need to balance anything then.

I actually do… and i have a lot of fun with it.
My warrior is amazing in BFA!!!

They will not Flush one of the main feature of the new expansion because some players are afraid of changes or can’t MMoD (MinMax on Demand).

I’d rather see no system than a terrible restrictive system.

Just have the 4 class abilities as a new talent row you can freely chose from.

Then there wont be any issues. Aside from conduits.

The issue with the system isn’t the system rather the restrictive nature of it.

Why do you think they created Classic?
They did it for the people who do not enjoy modern WoW.

I don’t enjoy classic wow at this point in my life either.

If they made BC/Wrath servers I may never come back to retail.

Hurrrr they won’t pull the ripcord, I’m sure they’ll flush the whole system.

Just stop. Yes, most players would agree we don’t NEED any shiny new build-around features going forward. Give us a fun, engaging story to explore, some solid dungeons and raids, good class balance and gameplay, and perhaps introduce some new spells in a talent row.
BUT they’ve worked this for years now, it will not be flushed. Especially if they weren’t budging on removing the covenant abilities to talent rows.

Same here.

WoW is at it’s best when they focus on the game itself rather than a zillion and one complicated systems that don’t even carry over when you finish the expansion.

The main issue with the system is players being unable to handle not having everything handed to them in order to obey the theorycrafters. If players could accept not having to be absolutely optimized in every single situtation in every single form of content, there would be far less friction. Some legitimate concerns remain, sure, but having Blizzard hold everyone’s hand to give them every tool for every situation is not one of them.

We already don’t get every tool for every situation - this just exacerbated things because those class skills will get balanced back and forth it’ll make heads spin.

When? Talents are freely swappable, specs are freely swappable, gear has two primary stats and two secondary stats, Essences are freely swappable, and corruptions are largely gigantic boosts.

What tool are you missing, exactly?

I can’t heal, Rez and do other useful things on my hunter for example. Nor would I want to.

No, I want my mage to go Necrolord because of the aesthetics. But if Necrolord is the worst for Fire Mage I will be pressured into another covenant for M+ and PvP.

Also Blizzards response in they will Balance it is laughable at best. Because they haven’t been able to balance anything in the game since its start.
