Just FIRED Ythisens And gave $15 MILLION to some SUIT

The player base is never in charge of these decisions. It’s delusional to think otherwise. It’s easy for me to tell people who’ve lived through corporation layoffs and those who haven’t.

We may get Lore back doing the CM responses. We may get someone who had been moved to another position back, or have an actual administration type do it. Or we may get no one at all. We can’t say right now.

Just because you may have been offended by him telling you the truth, doesn’t mean he wasn’t doing his job effectively.

They are well-fed, usually on high-quality, organic feed.

Because of news like this, I suppose:

“Dennis Durkin, Activision Blizzard’s new chief financial officer, is getting a bonus worth $15 million for taking the job. The award consists of $11.3 million of stock and an additional $3.75 million in funds. That’s in addition to a $900,000 salary and a $1.35 million target bonus.”

That breaks down as over 11 million in stock, most likely options that will vest on a set schedule for the next couple of years, plus over 5 million in cash (the “funds” and “bonus”) and a nearly million dollar annual salary.

Just check the Baby Yak’s twitter, and he confirms he was let go today, that it wasn’t his choice, but he isn’t going to say more right now, for obvious reasons.

Gonna miss the snarky Baby Yak, and I will officially retire the Snark-O-Meter in his honor.

Also, RIP to “improved communications” from Blizzard, as we can now all see that that commitment isn’t worth the electrons it takes to show it on our screen.

No, and then he will be rehired at twice the pay.

…is the new CFO Michael Scott?

You want a gaming company to be socialist? That is communism. The reason why millenials are for that is simply ignorance. Spoiler: you don’t bring the bottom up by tearing down the top.

I hope Chris Metzen and Mike Morhaime create a new company. Start fresh and keep the company private this time. Activision needs to go down.

The optics of that stink high heaven worse than Forsaken flatulence. It reminds me of what the banks up here in Canada did over 10 year ago. They reported record profits yet hiked the bank charges and laid off some branch tellers.

It was in response to the “careful what you wish for” statement. My IQ is higher than my shoe size, I’m aware we have no say in these decisions.

Activation wants mobile games for China. You announced record profits and fired 800 people. I hope Karma pays you back everything you deserve.

Ultimately the players are in charge of every decision.

Remember how fast Blizzard did a 180 on flight?

The unsub button is right there.

Its funny how yall literally agree with me…yet also pretend I am the bad guy.

Thanks for pointing out the OP was lying, and they did not pay the guy 15 million dollars.

Way to play the victim card.

He’s not lying, he said a 15m Sign on bonus. That is true in all it’s form, it’s just true if they said it’s a 15m cash bonus.

No. OP did not say “sign on bonus”. OP said that Blizzard gave 15 million dollars to him.

I dont know why getting mad at blizzard makes it so hard to get basic facts right. If you want to get mad that he is getting stock options 1-2 years from now based on incentives. Get mad. Just get mad at something accurate.

You certainly don’t raise up the bottom by stacking on the top either, though.

I believe that, when your main business task is customer communication, you should do that without being a dbag. That hasnt been the trend for many blizzard cms. You are more than welcome to white knight the heck out of the company, but at least be honest and admit that he had a snarky side that a fair amount of people felt was very unpleasant.

I’m sure there were lots of people offended. It’s 2019, if people aren’t offended by something, the world has probably already ended.
