You gave us the retail mount, and toy menu. We need to have the retail transmog system too, and not the one that griefs our bags.

These are literally just text strings. If they’re copying things from a source client, then of course OG Transmog strings will be present.
Just making sure they do right by us. You’ve gotta get on top of this stuff early with them.

Wowhead added a disclaimer on their next post:
“It’s also possible that these strings are just artifacts of the development process - not everything that is datamined makes it into live versions of the game”

It could be left over code when porting over to the modern client.
Also stated at blizzcon that Cata classic will be getting retail transmog collection tab.
We are having retail transmog.
It has been confirmed already during Blizzcon.

Hopefully they do the war within transmog system and not dragonflight.

And all it really is is collecting cross-armor type. Not mogging. Collecting.
It’s really not a huge deal. Almost funny how its a “feature” of an expac and not x.x.5 patch update.
they stated that they are giving us the “transmog collection tab” back when they announced cata, that at the very least means we are getting the update that WoD gave us, whether we get the current retail one (transmog gray items) is still up for debate
Sometimes the size of the work determines the release, rather than the size of the feature. The only way we’d get it in Cata Classic is if The War Within released before Cata, which uh, ain’t happening.
Ya, only being able to collect transmogs of your armor type is a pain in the rear and seems unnecessary.
Not to mention it will make things complicated in cata because classes use multiple armor types depending on your level.
Don’t know why this would be the case. They wouldn’t be “adding” anything, if anything they’re removing an unnecessary restriction thus making it simpler.

None of us know whether that’d be true or not. Do you have access to the game’s code? All we know is that:
- It’s a big enough change that it won’t be done before end of Dragonflight
- It won’t work retroactively.
Bro. They couldnt do the wotlk toy or mount menus so we got the retail version. Thats most likely the case here.
Seems like you’re turbo defending blizzard here on something that they need no defense on.
Wotlk didn’t have a toy menu. That was Warlords of Draenor.
The current retail version does not support the feature people are asking for. It’s coming in The War Within, which is far later down the line.
I’m making sure people aren’t spreading mis-information.
