So…I just don’t understand…
Why is there NO support for Vanilla WoW right now? Even if you didn’t want to do a fresh server, why not anything for the era servers? Why no new season?
This whole project was started due to a cry for VANILLA WOW, and it is simply being ignored.
JUST. DO. SOMETHING…ANYTHING.
Release fresh vanilla? we will play
Develop Classic+? we will play
Release a new season? we will play
Incentivize era servers? we will play
Seriously Blizzard, just do SOMETHING.
blizzard considers wrath to be their game for “classic players” which is ridiculous. it’s basically retail, and us vanilla players (true classic) are getting the short end of the stick.
You don’t even need to develop anything or put any major resources. Just spin us up classic wow to play on your cloud server. Thats it.
We are the easiest community to appease. No development. Just give us the game we like to play with no risk to you, and we will give you money.

Many have asked for further connections/merges on existing servers. Many have asked for new servers. Many have asked for the next season.
As far as any of us know, SoM2 is on its way but that’s about it as far as 60 WoW is concerned.
Sadly, WoW is no longer the apple of Blizzard’s eye and their main focus is on the latest retail expansion where the franchise is concerned.
they’ll probably take vanilla more seriously after wotlk ends. I’m sure the population at that point will diverge between people who want to play cata and die hard original trilogy fans.

Blizzard stopped giving a crap years ago. They won’t even reset winter veil, so once your toons have collected presents, that’s it forevermore. No more annual restock.
Its holiday season you won’t be hearing from Blizzard until mid January.
I’d also urge you to accept that we are where we are, and join the community playing on Era right now instead of waiting for a future that may never come.
More players playing Classic Era today improves chances of seeing Fresh, Som2, seasonal era, etc in the future.
I used to hold out too. Then I found a nice home to play on. I wish you the best!
I’m very, slightly considering it; however, if I DO play era, it will require me to recruit a new community and guild beforehand. All the guilds on era play at times I am never going to be available at.
I am considering starting an “Era Reroll”. I have led many guilds in the past, but wanted to finally take a break from all of that

Maybe not ideal, but on Grobbulus ally we raid Friday and Monday from 9pm-12am CT. No attendance req so you can at least pop in on Friday’s. Currently farming MC/BWL weekly and we are 4/9 on AQ40! Throwing it out there since it matches one of your days.
I’m hopeful you can find somewhere with your schedule even if it’s not with us! I don’t know the schedules for Whitemane or Mankirk guilds… but maybe someone else will see your post and help you out!

I’m operating under the assumption that the amount of complaints on the forums about nothing being done is inaccurately representing the population of classic. I think the majority of us just already got what we wanted. They are doing something. They’re keeping the servers powered. I’m not convinced those who need something new represent a sizable portion, although the forum kerfuffle is bigger than usual I will admit.
classic era is nice but most people want fresh/seasonal servers
every other multiplayer rpg-like game does this to great success
WoW is no different
A new private server with a relatively large population would beg to differ. Before 2019 there were private servers that would pop up every couple years, so it is safe to say there are a decent amount of people who like rerolling on the Vanilla platform.
