We already know your stance you are merely indifferent at this point you’ll simply go which ever way you think is gaining the most support
Really do you? Because I’ve said the same thing since day one. I don’t flip flop. But you are proving my point here more than anything. If it doesn’t reflect what you deem is proper you can’t be bothered to accept a differing opinion. Still though, eagerly waiting to read what you all think I feel about PF though.
For the third time in this thread, I bring you I like PF because!
I don’t have to pay per toon, I get to experience flight when I hit the current expansion on alts not having to wait til max is awesome. You both seem to think I am an anti flyer, definitely am not. I do wish they wouldn’t ground us until part two, it would be nice to complete one fly there, and then get grounded in new areas once they release. Thing is, I realize that all flight is just a faster way to get places, you don’t need it right away. It took literally a few weeks to a month for most to complete the requirements, and I would fully support them shortening the wait between. It is not remotely months worth of grinding that so many make it out to be.
This has been debunked several times. It has been stated by blizzard that you will still be able to solo old raids. Regardless if SL was bought
But hey keep stirring the pot with false info
Myself I feel Blizzard should pick a choice and stick with it either completely pull the plug on flight or concede to the players wishes and put it back at level cap for gold and stop dragging it out
Or they can get rid of part two pathfinder.
Cool and so many feel differently. Why does it have to be gold, please tell me this? The requirements for this one didn’t require exalted by any means like in the past. It actually takes longer to unlock the reps for allied races than it does PF. Like I said before I like being able to fly at 110 when I hit BfA on alts, going back to the gold route takes that away.
The wait time is the trigger for most, more people don’t want to have to spend per toon than naught. Take a few and actually look beyond the forums, twitter has tons of great information and tends to have stuff answered a lot more frequently.
Or all of the above and keep Pathfinger for those who like the perks.
But hamstringing/prohibiting flight in progression areas after folks have jumped through all the PF hoops seems underhanded.
yeah but theyd still drag it out until the next patch somehow by probably adding more reps like they did in Tanaan requiring them to fly and low gain with few WQs
And this is one of the reasons I’d like to see them embrace flight, design quests that are more than just “arrive, kill one dude, and leave”, and allow us to fly while leveling. There’s no reason other than an outdated, limited mindset that “flying trivializes things not designed for flying” to make us all level on the ground.
but that would require them to actually be creative but as we all know theyre trying to find ways to make flying less appealing to players in order to rid WoW of it not to give more reason for players to enjoy it
haven’t you noticed coming in the next patch the worms stacking debuff will only affect flyng mounts why isn’t Blizzard making it apply to anyone on the ground as well?
Well, it’s completely avoidable if you pay attention.
Akin to being dazed for being a derp and charging through a large horde of mobs.
Ha, this is still going on. OP could have had Pathfinder by now. (Looks at little icon of OP’s picture next to “replying…”)
Your priorities are skewed.
(points upwards ^)
See?
I was always mostly neutral on the flying and pathfinder debate, although I did lean more to the side that wanted to remove pathfinder and just have flight for gold at max level. These handful of players who do nothing but constantly spam the forum over this makes me wish Blizzard would add on a part III to pathfinder and stretch it out more, just to spite these players. We have plenty of other issues with the game we could be worrying and talking about.
That’s the rub though, what defines “fun” now? If the definition is constant, non-stop action with every objective within tab-target range of each other, you’re going to end up trimming away a lot of what makes WoW an open world MMO. There’s no point to a “world” that has no element of travel to it – that could just as well be accomplished with tiny dungeon-sized instances hooked up to each other with portals.
knowing how much that could save in development costs by cutting corners im amazed Blizzard hasn’t already considered doing that
after all that’s what WoW has become its no longer about engaging fun which keeps fans and draws new ones now lets maximize our profits with the bare minimum of content who cares if the players actually enjoy it?
theyre just a money source to be milked as long as possible so what if they are unhappy
I mean we’re kinda approaching that point with how much stuff is instanced and queued now. If you compare BfA to Vanilla, TBC, or even WotLK the number of loading screens you come across in a play session has skyrocketed.
How do you know? What qualifications do you have to know what does and doesn’t save money in game development?
I know its cheaper to create a 2D world than a 3D one and that’s basically what flight being removed does after all trees and mountains can simply be backdrops because you only see them from the side and not from above
it all comes down to Blizzard wanting the take the cheapest route possible while still continuing to get players to pay more for stuff why not just go ahead and do like so many other online games and turn WoW into a complete cash shop supported game? you want M10 gear just visit the store and pay $50 AOTC is on sale $59.99 etc
Biggest in-game example of this is Argus, where everything off in the distance is animated cardboard cutouts and skybox tricks.
