Making respecs cheaper would be a far superior gold sink than 50g which is so outrageously expensive to do twice per week on top of consumable costs that a lot of people just won’t even bother with respeccing.
Making respecs cheaper will not change how people play the game and doesn’t in anyway conflict with the design philosophy of vanilla, unlike duel spec which has social and gameplay consequences.
Consider nuking the price of respecs, all that would do is make swapping for PvP and farming manageable for us non-RMTers and non-mages.

A 6 day cooldown is possibly one of the most idiotic suggestions I have ever heard in my life.
Part of why respecs exist is as a consistent gold sink. A 6 day CD defeats the purpose. To fulfil the purpose of a gold sink, it needs to be at a sweet spot to where it isn’t so outrageously expensive that it’s not worth doing for casual players, and not so convenient that it has social and gameplay consequences.
10g is a pretty good spot for that.

To the contrary, it’s usually the meta slaves that strictly adhere to the same meta builds.
What value is there to the game by adding a 6 day CD? I could understand a 24 hour cd if we were talking about duel spec to prevent guilds forcing people to maintain 2 specs.
But what value is there in a CD for normal paid respecs? People respeccing more means more raw gold out of the economy, and it’s still a guardrail in place that avoids the consequences of duel spec.

The reason having a cool down on respecs of SIX DAYS is pure stupid is there are reasons to respec. You can’t pvp or raid in a farming spec and vice versa. Not everyone buys gold.

SoD is the classic game you are supposed to play it’s right there for you. This classic version is for people who love vanilla the way it is. You don’t need more than 1 classic version. Don’t be greedy.
There is going to be Era, HC, TBC Era, Classic Fresh, MoP Classic, and SoD all going at the same time…
