Not really much else to say, just happy that I’m finally doing the big cool current content for the first time since I started playing about 2 years ago.
It was pretty hard, we wiped about three times on Kurog until we finally got him!
Grats keep at it and have fun
Welcome to the game everyone else has been playing haha.
I definitely remember how into the game I was when I hit real endgame for the first time though. I miss that.
Good job
Grats. Have fun with more new encounters for you.
That’s the spirit. Keep playing. This game is really fun.
Kurog isn’t the last boss… And something tells me this is on Looking For Raid difficulty…
Yes, it was, and it doesn’t matter. It’s their first time doing any endgame.
o_O now I am nostalgic of running Kara again
Felt awesome the first time
Well, last boss of the wing we were doing I mean, also yeah it was LFR, still a bit nervous to do it harder especially on my first go, but if I do it some more and learn the mechanics a bit I’m sure I’ll be doing it harder in no time!!
Pay them no mind. Kurog destroyed SO MANY LFR groups I was in when that wing launched.
You’re taking new steps at least. Good on ya
Congratulations!
Congrats on the fun! Stay in that zone
It’s good that you had fun. But I don’t recommend LFR as place to learn mechanics. So much of it just gets ignored in LFR.
Most players will fall into one of two categories. One, they out gear the content. Which allows them to survive damage that would otherwise kill them. Two, they don’t care about the mechanics and assume someone else will do it.\
I suggest finding a guild. In fact, the guild I’m in has raid groups for players who are new or learning.
There’s also Looking for Group. I like to use LFG sometimes when I’m bored. I look for guild groups that are progressing or gearing alts.
Anyhow, welcome to the show.
Nah, LFR is a fine place to learn mechanics. Just because other players are ignoring them, it doesn’t mean you have to. It’s good to at least see the fights and learn what the telegraphs look like. The big one is usually “am I supposed to soak this circle or avoid it,” which I think Kurog specifically demonstrates fairly well.
To be clear here, LFR is just a practice mode, it’s like a tutorial before you actually begin a game.
That’s awesome to hear. And it’s perfectly fine to do LFR, it’s not nearly as bad as people try and make it out.
Next up you should try for a normal raid group. There are communities out there that run those, that’s how I got my normal clears. Being with a learning group is really fun because it’s a lot more laid back and less pressure. I like the normal runs because it’s less squirrely feeling to me, a little direction from the raid lead goes a long way!
Gratz. Continue having fun. Don’t let the negativity around the forums stop you.
Tried doing Raz today, got kicked after a few wipes cause I kept dying before the third phase
Gonna try again tomorrow and hopefully not die so quickly!!!
u did it
good job
