Just delete Feral druid spec altogether

You devs have NEVER been able to get it right. Honestly, you make us do so much for so little while Fury wars just go DERPDURRRRDURR SMASH BUTTON SMASH and end up vastly outpacing every other class in the game.

I don’t want to play another class.

I want to play my kitty and do a good job and be INCLUDED in content through my own merits, and not be excluded simply because of my spec.

Why would anyone take us over a Fury war or Fire mage?, or Outlaw rogue?

How would deleting feral help anyone, exactly? I get it, you want to play feral but don’t like how it plays and/or performs. But why should a player like me, someone who is actually enjoying feral quite a bit in TWW so far, lose that play style? If Blizzard deletes feral, you will be left with the options of either playing a different spec or giving up WoW; those same options exist to you today, you are welcome to do either if you aren’t liking feral. But unlike if you make that choice, I don’t have to give up the spec I’m enjoying if Blizzard were to listen to you.

But with that said, I also think you’re greatly overstating both feral’s performance struggles and being excluded as a feral. Feral is in a pretty decent spot for performance today, it’s not scraping the bottom of the barrel as it has in some past seasons. Combined with the fact that balance is in a rough spot, and feral is likely going to be preferable for any group looking for a DPS druid for mark barring major changes to balance. If anything this might be one of the few seasons where being feral might actually help your chances at getting a group slot when compared to many other specs.

Every single site that has spec/build/DPS tier lists, has feral at the very bottom.

PLEASE don’t circle the wagons for this…

The DPS disparity between first and last is a heinously wide margin.

It’s inexcusable.

Don’t say that, they may do it :expressionless:

Which content is that exactly?

Based on what? The expansion hasn’t even been out a week, beta was having tuning passes up until early access started last Friday, and we won’t get fights that last more than 90 seconds until the season opens in mid-September. Any of these tier lists are going to be incomplete at best and blind speculation at worst.

But just for giggles, let’s take a look at icy-veins’ tier list. You are correct for raid, both feral and balance find themselves at the bottom. It’s worth noting here though that resto druid is also at the bottom of the healer tier list and groups will want to get mark of the wild somewhere. Since feral is a tier above balance, unless groups find themselves preferring to bring a bear, it might get the nod to bring mark anyway even if this tier list is accurate.

If we look at M+, feral is the absolute middle of the road, well above balance.

What tier lists are you looking at, exactly?

What does this even mean? I enjoy how feral plays right now, regardless how it might perform against other specs. I don’t play at a level where everyone in my groups will be playing at a similar level, and I’m pretty confident I will be able to hold my own against the average player I will group with. You might be completely right in your assessment about feral, and my general position wouldn’t change.

You can already choose to play something else if feral isn’t suiting your desires, you don’t need Blizzard to delete the spec for that. But Blizzard deleting the spec would force that decision upon everyone, even those who enjoy playing it.

I leveled up as Feral. Swapped between Druid of the Claw and Windstalker and spent some time swapping recommended builds.

It definitely suffers from ‘low energy, missed snapshot’ moments. I can’t imagine how this will feel when paying attention to mythic/raid mechanics.

It’s cute that you think tier lists are anything more than clickbait for people like you. You also don’t do anything besides open world content, so not sure what you’d be excluded from…

It’s gross how many people rely on tier lists and builds from these sites. Why not play what you enjoy, make the talent choices you find fun. If you are always chasing the meta, you are not going to have a good time.

Feral is fine. AOE is competitive (both burst and sustain), and ST has a slower rotation but there is still plenty of button pushing. I am looking forward to raiding on feral (kids willing!) for the first time since MOP.

Tier lists are illustrative, but they’re not going to apply for every player, and are not going to matter for more than 4-6 months. Feral is going to bounce up and down as gear levels increase and as Blizzard makes adjustments to tuning or future tier sets.

If there are any complaints that I have right now, it is that the hero talents are extremely un-fun. They boil down to a few survivability improvements and a small additional AOE on Bite/Ravage. Definitely if you want some interesting gameplay, Warrior looks awesome right now.

(Also, Regrowth is so bad.)

Really now? Because the few I have seen put Feral in the A tier. Not top but in the good category. Im not all that geared but my feral feels on par with my shadow priest who is ranked higher.

Then again, I dont follow guides and choose talents that suite my playstyle.

And this is an example of why most people who play the game, don’t post on the forums.

You can have LITERALLY ANY opinion on any aspect of the game, and some loud obnoxious neckbeard who disagrees with it will join your post and berate you like this is some highschool lunch period.

If you post an opinion expect it to be criticized.

Seems a little bit of projection going on labeling people who don’t agree with you neckbeards as you screech as loud as possible

No one is berating you, if you stop looking at tier lists you may realize feral is in the best spot it has been in for awhile. Relax

Your entire post is that you don’t want to play a different spec, yet the call to action to delete the spec would force you to play a different spec. Yet highlighting this blatant contradiction is berating you?

Bruh, skill issue. Ive been outplaying “The Meta” since 2004. Feral has never been better, stay off my class please.

I see that you are not getting the validation that you are seeking, but I do not see anyone berating you. Just disagreeing with you, because our experiences are different.

Maybe post on your main and we can see how you’re specced and how you’re geared and discuss what you can do better.

Feral is better than I was giving it credit for. It’s not amazing in pve, but it’s on the positive side of mediocrity. In pvp, it’s looking really strong.

Still no reason to bring it to a group unless you already have utility covered and you know the player is good.

Just giving back tranquility baseline could be enough, as a raid or 5 man cool down.

I’m playing shaman and pally right now, two classes I have no history with. Two classes that don’t have me thinking about all that I have lost because they are new to me. In doing that, I am enjoying this new expansion so far.

Feral does ok damage tested on a few heroic dungeons. Nothing to write home about. Certianly does lower damage than an arcance mage, fury warrior and HDH and even ret pally. The energy regen is just painful. I think that’s what keeping the specs from doing good damage. Also defense seems to be weaker than other melee but that’s always an issue with feral.

Hero talents is meh. Druid of the Claw seems easier to play but doesn’t fit well I mean it built to you to be bear form as well? It have some bursty moments but nothing to celebrate. Wildstalker seems to do really low damage now due to how quickly mobs die and also snap shooting on mob to get them to do AOE damage seems like a really mico managing game and not a lot of people (myself included) hate it. Also the energy regen really make this snap shooting hard.

Posts a super dramatic title saying to delete a spec. Receives pretty normal pushback to dramatics. Rages and calls people neckbeards…

Classy.

And here I am, worried my Ravage is gonna get nerfed into the ground - I had a nightmare last night that Blizzard deleted it, lol. Ravage is doing so much of my damage (roughly 25% of my overall), and I’ve been hitting 20-30million by the end of bosses (depending on AOE or ST- I don’t know if that’s a high number or a low number, but most people struggle to keep up - using random group finder, my guildies, and friends as references)

HOWEVER! I am still salty. My range was taken from me… and I will remain salty about it FOREVER!
