Does anyone really like the mover builds like momentum and the like? Serious no troll question. For me it’s like I am opening up to it a bit more the more I play it, but I’d still prefer not to play it personally. To me it feels bad that the intended use of fel rush is for mobility right? To help me get somewhere I need to be, not for dps… it feels really bad for me anyways to be in raid doing my dps rotation like normal and wanting to dash but I can’t because I either used the charges already, or I will have to use it soon for damage. Makes me not feel as mobile anymore plus can put me in bad situations like dashing into bad or whatever. How much worse overall is the no mover build in all honesty?
a,ot of people like it are indifferent to it. its really not as bad as people make it out to be. you dont have to use all your charges, just one with ubc. with a short c d you should have another charge in seconds. you just have to manage your charges. in raiding/st no movers is just 3% behind overal
Jumping all over the place in M+ is not my thing. That is why I am not playing my DH this season.
Was hoping they would get rid of this ridiculous movement build, but they did not. It feels just like when mages asked them to get rid of ROP but they kept it going for years.
Yes, I do enjoy momentum / inertia.
It isn’t very compatible with the encounter design of most raids though.
So, I’m not raiding; just m+ this season for me.
Non-mover build is boring to me.
I enjoy that Demon Hunter’s identity as a high movement class that dances around the battle and relies on agility instead of heavy armor for defense is reflected in the rotational design, yes.
I also enjoy high complexity high apm classes so momentum and now inertia was right up my alley.
Does it get me killed from time to time? Sure, but that’s not the end of the world if I am a net positive for my m+ group or raid group, which I am.
I literally never seem to find myself wishing to have used fel rush for mobility, dh has so many movement options that really insisting fel rush is a “movement only option” seems like a waste of a button.
I don’t have the new tier set so I am using jedith suggested build you don’t really feel rush all that much like before
Yes, I really enjoy the inertia build. Its taken a bit to get use to but it feels really engaging. I don’t like standing around waiting for buttons to push and it is really fast paced with a high damage reward for good play.
gas lighting lie at its finest. dudes a ret main who actively wants havoc to be unfun and trash so no one plays it.
It is literally the only reason I’m playing DH. The game has become an action RPG for me.
How is it gas lighting? Also how come the way you like to play is better and more fun than what I or others want to play? I also am tech maining my dh for my guild, my ret is just relevant as well so you are assuming alot there bud.
You don’t have to do it, for real. I’m Parsing purple with no movement at all. The two piece catapults you up the meters.
This is what I was hoping to hear! You just doing the standard no mover build from wowhead?
No I always play what I like best lmao. If I did garbage damage after I got my 2 piece I would have relented and did the no mover on wowhead, but it was a huge boost so I played around on the dummies till I got a build I enjoyed and got numbers with. It’ll probably fall off as the season goes on, but by then we will have aotc and half the guild will bounce till next season so it’s fine. I’m sure the inertia one is far better for serious cutting edge players, but I’ll do a few mythic bosses at most so it’s all good
Long story short: we are in a great spot if you’re willing to practice. Movement or not.
truly a based answer, gl
most of the community was fine and happy with pre SL dh but a few loud minority advocated and pushed for change that set us down the dark path we have been in. and once DF reworks came, they (the loud few people who are mods in the discord) began banning people and mocking individuals who had a difference of views in order to push an agenda.
this guy is gas lighting because he is a ret main who doesnt play dh (minus veng on the weekends) and has been pushing for awhile now for havoc to be weak and play badly because he adamantly hates the spec. He pushes for historically anti havoc ideas and routinely calls for bad decisions on the class and has advocated for massive nerfs that have made havoc the abomination that we are now.
I like the inertia build better than the no mover. I’m actually monitoring CDs against mechanics, which wasn’t the case before. Most DH iterations are just hit priority buttons as soon as they came up. I think the dev did a good job. I haven’t enjoyed havoc DPS in a long time.
I like the inertia build, it’s fun, fast paced and A LOT better than momentum.
That said, I only play the no mover build, for both M+ and Raids. For two reasons, it’s safer in general and WoW’s ping to me is ~150 so there’s a little downtime because of GCD during movement.
If you really want to know which build does more dps, you have to sim it yourself.
But if you want an example. These sims are for my DH:
- Before I got my 2pc, No Mover lagged behind Inertia, by around 10-8k dps in single, and 20k in DungeonSlice. (numbers from my head, can’t sim them now to be sure)
- After I got my 2pc, these are the numbers:
Single Target: Inertia 179.854 DPS / No Mover 175.039. (-2.7%)
Dungeon Slice: Inertia: 266.549 DPS / No Mover 268.196 (+0.6%)
So yeah, at the end of the day just play what you find it to be the most fun as the 2 builds are pretty close to each other.
