Just Curious: Will Void Elves Be Given Normal Hair Options?

I think they’ll explode if void elves don’t get blonde hair. People who are anticipating the Alleria skin colors are not going to be pleased if they have to use blue hair, or even purplish red hair, with them. They’re going to insist on real blonde and red.

Yes, we gonna get blond hair, we are high elves after all.

no, your not. and your not high elves. As soon as you drank that void kool-aid you lost you became a void elf.

Quiet Alliance, Blizzard has already given you your thing for the decade. No more asking for anything until at least 2030.

I’m just kidding :grinning: i know i’m not a high elf, but blond hair would be cool

Nah, it’s already bad enough VE got BE skins.

I agree that Void Elves should the option to have blonde or blondish hair. I do have the feeling that some players would get mad about it for varying reasons.

Truth is, people will complain either way, because people somehow always find a way to complain about everything.

There are perfectly understandable and reasonable complaints, but some complaints are just outright ridiculous.

Then they can make a blood elf because real blonde and red is their options. Do we really wanna straight up cut/paste another races look? (even more so).

I just want some snow white hair, and jet black hair colours now. Throw in some browns too

We don’t actually know yet what exactly we are getting. Blonde hair could very well be happening for all we know. The announcement teaser image did show one of the void elf males sporting the new black hair option Blood Elves are getting so hair color proliferation seems possible (not necessarily blonde mind you). The teaser also specifically says those are just some of the options coming.

I don’t think having similar hair colors is a cut and paste any more than blood elves were a cut and paste from humans.

In particular, I don’t think void elves need to get blood elf hair styles - blood elves can keep the updos, and void elves can have more disheveled locks of hair.

The hair colors are needed to account for the large majority of void elves that train for it, as Alleria did. High elf and blood elf hair colors - but again, not hair styles - are appropriate since high elves and blood elves are where most of Alleria’s new recruits in Telogrus are coming from.

This sounds entitled.

I think void elves are entitled to the hair colors their lore says they should have, yes.

Those NPCs don’t mean anything whatsoever. They have been there since the release of the void elves.

I’ve brought them up many times in the past only to be dismissed as random npcs by the high elf camp but suddenly they are importan because they say so.

I don’t see any reason why void elves won’t get blonde hair.

If they were concerned about keeping the two races that distinct, they wouldn’t be giving the blood elf skin tones to the void elves.

I don’t think they will share hairstyles between the two, maybe alter them a bit, but I highly doubt you’ll see the exact same cut on a void elf as on a blood elf.

I mean, they kind of do though, why else would they put them there?

They’ve been there since the release of void elves? They have nothing to do with the new customization options and trying to link together the two is kind of a stretch

Right, so why doesn’t that mean anything? It was clearly intentional so…

Blizzard has been using high elf models for years and it hasn’t meant anything so why should it mean something now when they were added like 2 years ago when we got void elves?

Oh, I always thought it was to indicate that there were high elves loyal to the Alliance.

Not really, there’s also Silvermoon Scholars in the rift too. They say something about not being denied their in their pursit of knowledge.

It also looks like the Locus Researchers are performing a ritual (they say not to bother them they’re busy) similar to what they performed/what happened to Alleria. So who knows maybe they refined their ritual? I’m leaning more towards those blood elves and high elves wanted to join the void elves and went through this process and became full out void elves.

They’ve been studying the void for a while with the help of locus walker so it’s not out of the realm of possibility that the void elves have learned how to control their abilities a little better, i.e. lighter skin options, lighter eyes, maybe they hear the whispers of the void a little less.

I don’t know why everyone is saying that these void elf customizations are “high elf skins”. Blizzard mentions nowhere in their post that these are high elf options. They even say that void elves are getting blood elf options so i’m not even sure why everyone is making all these high elf assumptions.
