First I’m not hugely concerned, but as the title says I’m curious.
This morning I noticed my b net launcher display that pre-release content downloaded.
No biggie… But on the top bar in the launcher when you select the game you want to launch – it says “Installation ongoing…” and its been in this state for hours.
Is this normal? Is anyone else seeing this on their systems?
Unless you’re installing it on a really really old and slow system, I’d say that’s not normal.
I’d just reboot your computer and reload the launcher. It seems to get stuck now and then when updating. Rebooting tends to fix it.
I thought it was weird too. I’ll see what happens after reboot. My system is actually brand new had it for a week.

I had the same issue, what I ended up doing was trying to restart my machine and the application, but it still remained. So if you click on the game , then the gear next to play and choose to “scan and repair” it will take a bit to go through the game files but should resolve this. Not sure if it’s a logical error or just a visual bug but that should fix it. Best of luck.
After I chose “scan and repair” the message went away,
I have had this same thing for the past 3 says with 0 progress made
I reboot my computer every night, so I don’t think that is the issue
Perhaps a new thread in the Tech support forum would be best instead 
I have the same thing and had it before but it went away the next time they released a patch or something that needs patching 
it really dont bother me but I understand that others might feel confused or annoyed by it…
I’ve had the same thing happen recently and lasted a couple days. Have done restarts, complete shutdown, etc. Did the scan and repair and that resolved the problem
