It definitely still does mean that, and it always will.
Again, that’s why most people’s experience has been so bad with delves - most people being casual, anti-social (lol) trying to play Delves. They have no one to carry them this time.

One change was needed:
tune sole gameplay: 1 work day from devs needed
They decided to waste 1 week of resources to destroy solo/group gameplay → “fix” group again-> destroy brann again.
I guess some random guy hammering on the keyboard could have done a better job.

TBH we rarely do them in fives. It’s either solo or in 3’s. Five is too many people.

exactly …we’re all playing in the same big world together online…unless its a pvp game interaction isnt required.

I run them solo, wouldn’t mind if they made solo and group play the same in challenge level though. Would like to get my delves done a little faster.

There’s already a 5-man content called Dungeons.
Yeah because some ppl that reply to forum posts = the majority of players in-game lol
I’m criticizing a system that was designed to be played solo, playing it solo was the MAJOR purpose of Delves, but optionally you could play it with friends, that was the MINOR purpose of the system.
But what is happening right now is that more than 50% of the playerbase are doing Delves with groups of five instead of soloing, so the system design is literally failing to achieve it’s main purpose. It’s a flawed system, we already have Dungeons.
Delves were designed to be mostly played solo.
You are a minority of the playerbase.
You’re not even 0.01% of the playerbase, i’m talking about the majority of ppl.
We already have DUNGEONS, this new system wasn’t designed to be played mostly with groups, otherwise Dungeons would be obsolete.
I did like 20x T8 bountiful delves in my main and alts solo and it wasn’t hard either, but there’s nothing to brag about it doing it solo, the fact is that is most OPTIMAL to do it with a group and that’s a flaw in the design of a system that was designed to be mostly played solo.
You only brick it if you want it, you can reset it at will if you lose enough lives just go out and reset and start again with full lives.
It’s not about options, options are good, i’m talking about a flaw in the design of the system.
You’re the only one that understood my point, it’s about fixing the system so group play is not the OPTIMAL way of doing delves.

Optional group is fine.

early on i did in groups but they dropped a patch that made solo a tad easier and ive been soloing all of em since. it really comes together when brann gets ~30+ he’s actually helping and keeping me up heh

What?! No… LOL. People doing the in groups are because they want it cleared faster and more efficiently. There are PLENTY of people soloing delves T13 for crying out loud.
Delve discussions pop up like this because people are BAD AT THE GAME, they keyboard turn and don’t keybind defensives and DIE.
Ive done most of the delves i have run solo but i enjoy doing them with other players as well.
It can make some delves a lil easier.

I either go solo or duo. Most I’ve ever done is 4 and that was only for a few runs.
So, no, not everyone is doing groups of 5.
Usually it’s my wife and I and we’re both pretty glad for content that can be challenging in which we don’t have to rely on anyone but each other.

Mostly solo. Some groups, some small groups.
Some times solo. Sometimes 2. Sometimes 3. Sometimes 4. Sometimes 5.
