Night elf paladins is a overdue given
Lol dunno what you’re on about, but I proved you wrong.
Keep throwing that tantrum and pretending I didn’t destroy your argument though.
I’m not on about those options. Seriously. I’m on about the canon void elves that would have access to the paladin option.
I actually addressed that higher in the thread and it had nothing to do with any elf.
yes, yes they do.
I feel like night elves have a higher chance to get them.
In canon, they wouldn’t, because if you make a void elf Paladin, it’s a high elf. Period.
Like you’re factually incorrect about what you’re arguing about and pretending I’m wrong, it’s adorable.
A canon void elf using them would just be breaking lore. Simple as that. If a void elf roleplayed a priest who uses the Light, that could also be considered lore-breaking.
so with void blue skin and tentacles in their hair, they would be a high elf?
Yup.
But that brings up a really good point. Paladin should be locked to the high elf options only.
But I mean I’m not the one who cares so deeply about denying people options because I can’t imagine lore past my wowwiki article.
The ideal solution is to make a proper high elf race. This is a half-measure to the half-measure Blizzard gave us.
and that was the point at which I concluded you must be a troll.
I was curious the whole thread but if you think a blue elf with tentacles is not a void elf… thats the only conclusion I can possibly come to.
Make any remarks you want about me. Claim youre right and I’m leaving because “I can’t handle being wrong”. Say what you like. You’re not worth my time.
Lol I am right, I just got done explaining to you why.
Go throw your tantrum somewhere else if you want people to pat you in the back and pretend lore supports you
Fixed it for you.
I imagine Wildhammer and other troll customization options aren’t intended to let us roleplay diversity either, huh?
Not if it doesn’t fit with the anti high elf agenda
Alright, however you want to RP your character is totally up to you. With an add-on like Total RP3 you can call yourself whatever you want.
But you will be, now and into the foreseeable future, a Void elf. Not a High Elf. The customizations are for your own personal story. High Elves cannot do what I do until they’ve been exposed to the Void, at which point they have been transformed by the experience, as all of us have. They are now Ren’dorei, no longer Quel’dorei. You can be anywhere along the path to becoming a Void Elf, and that will result in a variety of physical manifestations of the Void in your appearance, but don’t kid yourself. You’re a Void Elf now.
Paladins aren’t really an Alliance high elf thing (there’s like one). If you need it for your role play just roll a warrior.
Hopefully we have an answer for that in lore soon, otherwise you would just be head cannoning, wouldn’t you?
And here’s another “no, not happening” response.
The fact that void elves get dirty looks from people in the Cathedral of Light should already give people an idea of why a void elf paladin would be an oxymoron.
It is absolutely not a simple request. They’re not high elves, they’re still void elves; the game calls them such, they still have void elf hair (despite people on this board wanting to take that away from belves, too), voices, and racials. Unless giving your character a normal skin tone also changes their nameplate and the appearance of Entropic Embrace and Spatial Rift, I don’t see Blizzard also going the extra effort to give the subrace a class that would logically have to lock them out of playing the main race.
People already complain about combinations like Zandalari monks and Lightforged DKs not making sense but still existing. Void elves and “high” elves are a package deal; if one gets paladins, the other has to, and the former physically cannot be paladins because the paladin class as it’s presented is infused with the polar opposite of what void elves are infused with. For a lot of people, throwing out this little bit of lore would be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
This. You’re more likely to get nelf and undead paladins in this lifetime because at least they already exist (the latter with extreme difficulty, though).
I think what could be even more interesting than a Void Elf Paladin is if Blizzard killed off the Void Elves entirely.
Event: Void Elves surrender to the void in a mass-extinction event. Upon logging in, all Void Elves burst and explode into shadows, your body disintegrates and you’re logged out with your character deleted.
The only approved genocide is all flavors of Gnomes blowing themselves up.
